Alcohol and training

It's not a great idea to drink on the same day of intense training. Alcohol impedes on your muscle recovery, thus, inhibiting muscle growth.

Ok, so then I have 2 questions following that information.

Let's say I train on Friday and go out later that night with friends for drinks. How many would be considered enough in your opinion to impede muscle recovery especially if I don't plan on training during the weekend?

The other question is would a non alcoholic beer such as O'Douls have the same effect on my body if I just wanted the taste at night time during the week?

There will always be impedence on some level. How much you need for it to be significant, I don't know.

Non-alcoholic beer won't have the effect because of there being no, well, alcohol in it.

sounds like I just found myself a solution. See, I love the taste of beer. I went to Germany in college and about cried on my way out haha. I know it's not the greatest for your health but dammit I love the taste. I had to drink O'Douls in college for a while, I was on a dry campus and it sucked being 21.

Thanks for the information, glad I came here.
