Aimziepoo's Diary

Hello Everyone! :seeya:

I'm a little late to the January 1st party but today is the day where I FINALLY begin what I consider the 2nd half of my journey to a healthy, happy life.

A little background about me to whoever has stumbled upon my thread: I have been chubby basically my entire adult life. I remember I really started packing on the pounds at around about 11 years old. I was a sucker for cookies and SODA, and with my grandmother watching me most of the time, it wasn't hard to sneak all the snacks my little heart desired LOL. By the time I was 15/16 I was around 170lbs. I grew up in a family who, like many others, didn't have the best eating habits. There was A LOT of fast food, a LOT of snacking.

By the time I was 17, I started doing weight watchers with my mother. I also started working out everyday with Windsor Pillaties video my mom bought and with some exercise bands. That year I got down to my lowest weight I can remember ever being which was 156 lbs. I went to Disney world and wore shorts! Which was a huge deal for me, I haven't worn shorts shorts since. I was in a bathing suit and didn't feel self-conscious. This would also be the year I met my Ex, which led to a downward spiral in all aspects of my life. By the time I finally got out of that toxic relationship, I was 22 years old and 236lb. I couldn't live like that anymore. I started trying to eat right, and be more active. Over the coarse of about a year I lost give or take 50lbs. And over the past two years I've yo-yo'd back and forth between 180-170 lbs.

I am really proud of where I've come, and turning 25 this year has woken something up inside me again. I decided I REALLY do want to carry on and loose the rest of the weight I've been wanting to loose since I was 14 years old. I want to be fit and happy and healthy. So there it is, that's where I am today. By the end of this year, I want to be at my goal weight, which is 130lbs.

I'll be using this as a food diary/goal diary as well and TRY to update it often if not a few words everyday. I am also keeping an offline food diary.

Plan as of Now: Eat 1200 calories a day. Workout with Kettleballs 5 Times a week. Go for brisk walks 3 times a week. Drink 8 glasses of water daily.

Breakfast:
Cinnamon Raisin Bagel: 280 Calories (I know, BAD, but we have them left from last week and throwing out food and wasting it is
not feasible for us, Once our crap is gone I plan to heat healthier breakfasts.)
1/2 Tablespoon Margarine: 25 Calories
Coke Zero: 0 Calories

Not sure what I'm having for dinner, will edit this post when I figure it out!

Dinner:
Spicy Honey-Brushed Chicken Thighs (x2) 321 Calories
Light Sweet Potato Casserole (1 Cup) 392 Calories

That brings me up to 1,018 Calories for the day so far, I know a little too low, might have a snack in a little bit (possibly a banana or some strawberries with some stevia on them) But all in all Id say it was a good day, was getting a little peckish around dinner but that was because I didn't have a chance for lunch.

I also completed an hour for my Kettlebell exercise (I'm following the Livefit Revolution exercises, the diet is a little to hardcore for me but the exercise plans are amazing)

Anywho, 1st day down and feeling pretty great!

Hey Aimzie...loven the name :p
Good luck with the weightloss, lotsa cool people around here with awesome encouragement and advice.

Go hard and swing those kettleballs!

Sounds like you have a good plan. I have respect for anyone that even attempts kettlebells. Those things make me tired just looking at them. lol! Good luck with your weight loss! :)

Im of a similar age too (turning 24 soon) and just wanted to say best of luck. Sounds like you are pretty motivated and on to it!

:)

Welcome aboard and good luck on reaching you goal. You've done a great job dropping those 50 pounds. Keep us posted.

Wow, thanks for all the support guys! Means a lot, and it really will be invaluable in through out the year, I'm just so happy that there is such a great community available for us. Looking forward to cruising though the forums tonight and reading up for some inspiration! :)

Well, this will be an easy post, pretty much the same as yesterday, had the same things for Breakfast/Dinner Gotta love left overs!
Finished my 2nd workout as well, Boy oh Boy those Kettlebells KILL your legs, I'm pretty much FALLING not sitting onto chairs/my bed. Should start to feel better towards the end of the week though.

No walk today, weather was crap out.

Still feeling pretty awesome as far as my hunger level and activity. I know its only one day but one step at a time right? :)

Breakfast
Kellogg's - Frosted Flakes, 1 1/2 Cup (30g) 220
Milk - Milk 2% Reduced Fat, 0.25 cup 33

Dinner
I had a grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onions, 1 slice of bacon and some miracle whip. I plugged it all into Myfitnesspal and it said it was 530cals.

I still have 417 Calories left for some sort of snack for later, still feeling great, Im resisting the strong urge to step on the scale, I am really trying to weigh myself only once a week.

Last night was a little annoying for me, I got pretty hungry, and after drinking a full glass of water to try and curb the hunger it just wouldn't go away, but I'm proud to say that it was the 1st challenge I faced and I did resist temptation. I know, its the 3rd day and blah blah blah, but for me, I feel like the 1st week is the hardest part for me. =D So today, I made sure I had some wiggle room for a little snack if I need it.

Well I should probably say Lunch/Dinner, but I usually end up eating Breakfast food for lunch if that makes sense, I work an afternoon shift so I have some weird hours and I usually cant bring myself to eat something as soon as I wake up, gives me tummy issues for some reason. Its usually "Lunch" Dinner and then a snack for me.

Hey! :hurray:

Just checking in, I've decided to use this as more of a "journal" then a daily food diary because I've been actually keeping a food log on Myfitnesspal.com I had a really successful first week I think. I logged everything that went into my mouth at all times, I completed all my workouts and I lost 3lbs.

I kind of cheated and looked a day early and I was down 4.4 but Monday had me an even 3. I'd be lying if I said this didn't disappoint/confuse me but I had a long talk with the BF about it and have decided to be okay with it haha. I'm used to loosing around 5lbs the 1st week of my normal "diets" so this number seems a little low to me for some reason, but I've also never worked out 4 days a week/ worked out with weights. I heard muscle weigh's more than fat so maybe its a good thing?

Anyway today was another great day, even better since I've finally gotten rid of the bagels and we loaded our cart with healthier options. I'm really excited to see what this week has in store!

3lbs is pretty good going...if you kept that up in 10 weeks you would have lost 30lbs, which is huge. The weight can fluctuate quite a bit when you start...so I'm told! Especially when your doing new stuff, like your workouts.

Sounds like you're good to go...gunna be eating healthier, working out,and leaving a few calories for the end of the day....good planning and i'm keen to hear how you go.

I would say goodluck but you'll be sweet.... go hard :)
