Greetings,

I've gotta put this all in written, because I need to push myself.

My starting point 164 cm
June/4 Saturday: 71.1 kg jogged: 5.5 km in 47 min

Today:
June/5 Sunday: 71.9 kg.

Yes, I've managed to put on 800 grams. How's that for a weight loss??? :smilielol5: We've been with my in-laws to a Moroccan restaurant to celebrate our 15th anniversary. I had been "good" during the day, but the night wasn't "good".

I won't beat myself for it, but I'll try to be weighting less come next Saturday. My strategy is to eat less and try to exercise some. I think I can control myself if I don't shop for sweets (ice creams, chocolates, etc.).

I'll try not to go for second helpings, and third helpings...

Wish success to all of you, and that, unlike me, you haven't put anything on!

I've never been heavier than that in my whole life. My worst had been 71 kg. Sad record to beat...

Hello and welcome! You dont have a lot of weight to loose but even those 10 kg can be challenging! What i have learnd is that weight changes all day long.Set one day to get on the scales once a week.I have mondays as scale day!in the morning and after ive gone to the loo!!!:)
I myself some times cheat a bit but thats ok as long as you get back on track the next day!Good luck!

Hey chick - i'm here keeping an eye on you haha. Good on you for joggin yesterday. I've tried the whole running thing and have never been able to keep it up.

Try to perhaps not weigh yourself every day. I know how hard that is as I have also been in phases where I have weighed myself everyday but this time round I will not. If I weigh myslf everyday and find I've put weight on I'd think "what's the point" and just give up as soon as I have started.

Good luck for tommorrow xx

My feeling on weight loss is that every day is a new day, and that every day where you have better habits than you used to should be looked on as a positive. And social occasions can't be helped. Don't beat yourself up too much over it.

How do you think you'll go coping with the desire to eat "bad" food? (It's an open question- different people have different coping techniques- depending on your answer I have a trick up my sleeve, but if you say something else then my trick might be counterproductive)

hi guys!!

Oh, I've had a sweet binge this very evening. Fact is, I had a very heavy, really heavy day at work and I needed a sweet fix after it. It wasn't as bad as I'm used to (the binge), but a binge, nevertheless. I've worked very hard from 8 to 19, had some problems... happens.

Thank you very much for the welcome, Jasper!!!

I'll do what you say, jasper and ski_bunny, and try not to jump on the scales everyday. It's tough. I'm as addicted to the scales as I am of sweets.

Amy, I have no idea on how to resist temptation. Tomorrow will be the real "first" day. I'll be home the whole day, because I don't work tomorrow. I'll try the following things to keep off food: playing the violin, playing the guitar, playing the piano (this one I'm not so sure I'll really do...). I'll also go jogging, if it doesn't rain (it was an ugly day, today). I've got a few new violin studies today, preparing for tomorrow. Oh, and I'll read things to prepare the fantastic vacation I'm going on, come July/August. :hurray:

yeah having a tough day at work really makes you want to eat or drink. In previous times where i lost weight I used to go to the gym to get rid of the stress/anger etc that I used to feel at work to make me feel better and to stop me binging. My job is not so stressful anymore so I rarely feel like that but your right to try and do something to occupy yourself and take your mind off food.

Tomorrow's another day! Hope you have a better day tomorro x

Thank you for your support, ski_bunny!

I'm good today. I can feel I'll be good the whole day. I'm home, everything under control, no work. I'll be wise in the eating department (bought lots of vegetables yesterday, when I went looking for those sweets, and I'll make something healthy).

Have a good day, everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's your feeling on bad food? Is it permissible in your diet? I ask this because there generally tend to be two approaches around here- I must not ever eat any "bad food" ever again, or I can have "bad food" as long as it's in moderation. I'm very much in the latter camp, and when I get cravings for things I search out lower calorie alternatives (e.g. pizza, chips, ice cream) or allow myself a very small amount (chocolate). I also make sure that I enjoy all my food so I'm far less likely to binge (I've actually noticed I'm eating less chocolate because I'd rather have one of my fruit and yoghurt concoctions than a tiny couple of squares of chocolate).

The reason I asked what I asked before is that I was wondering if substitutes would work for you, and if so, if you'd like help finding some.
