Afters!!

:gets out the beating stick:

You look wonderful...

why no smile in the full length shots - you're smile is beautiful in the second shot.

You should be very proud of yourself missy..

Well...I set my camera on a timer, and felt like a big goofy idiot smiling at the table the camera was sitting on...so I kinda didn't get the smile going.

But yay!

Oh...and on my last shopping trip I bought size 8 jeans!!! Double yay!! I'll probably float from an 8 to a 10, depending on style, etc...

I haven't been able to get into a single digit size since fifth grade....

Look at you looking all slender *wolf whistles*

Congrats on reaching your goal. I would have to agree with you and say screw the last five pounds, you look great just the way you are and you still have curves which is very nice.

Your face pic.......wow......what a huge difference, so slim now.

Good luck with maintaining!

As far as my body goes...I'm having adjustment issues. I see the size is smaller, but I'm not realizing it's smaller. Weird, I know...but in my head, I see myself as a bigger person, still, when I think of what I look like.

I just spent 10 minutes loading my before and after photos and looking at 'em, back and forth, side by side...starting to sink in now....

an 8 is my target size... so that's awesome being able to get into a single digit size... :D

and contrary to popular belief - Size doesn't matter :) but it's nice to know that you can get into an 8 :D

Great job! Can I ask what size you were before? You didn't look that large to begin with (well compared to my before, lol).. an 8 is great. I have 3 more sizes to get to an 8. Congratulations!! :D

:blush5: Thanks, Spooner!!

MelanieAnn – I started out at a 16/18 pant/short, and an XL to XXL or 16/18 shirt, depending on the make. I think it didn't look so bad because of my height, and the way it was distributed. I began at 220 or 225....

Mal – I'm hoping I can stay there!! No, scratch that...I WILL stay there!

Hope -nothing.. you will stay there...

One trick I've found to avoid any backsliding -is to get rid of - or have tailored any clothes that are currently too big - have them fit your current body.. and you will know immeidately when you need to focus more... when you've got too much breathing room in clothes -or a wardrobe of clothesoin larger sizzes -then it's too easy to not pay attention..

Wow, you look fantastic!! Doesn't it feel good to see the pictures? I find that I need to look back every so often to remind myself that I'm really making progress. You look hot now, forget those 5 pounds!

I've already ditched the old clothes, Mal...a local Senior Center was having a clothing drive, so I got rid of 'em. Now my wardrobe is severely limited 'til we get caught up on bills 'n things...

thanks for the compliment, dkhobbs!!!!

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I'm currently in a size 8/7, was originally a 14 and now when I buy size 8 pants I say "O, they must be big made" or "Must be the wrong label on them". Self image is a bitch! :p

It's ALL a self-image issue. Finding a good bra that fits will do wonders for me, I think. Get "the girls" where they belong for a change. I've been talking about it for a while, but things have kept coming up to keep me from doing it...maybe this weekend....
