Do most health clubs require a group intructor certification in order to teach a group class? I have heard that many times anyone can teach a class. I do not want to waste money and time on certification if I can audition, teach, and still make money. Should I get a group fitness cert or a personal training cert? which one am I most likely to get a job with and make money? would appreciate any opinions! thanks!

thing is....if something happens...people come after your neck. Why you teach us if you dont know what you are doing. Once you have your cert to show...you will be fine. Some top gyms wont accept anybody without cert. Its a great investment. But its up to you. Its like: will you go to doctor, who dont have a cert

With group fitness cert you are able to do both pretty much. Friend of mine has personal cert, and she goes to clients homes, or appointments in gym. More money than fitness trainer...who just sits in gym, and gets paid monthly, weekly or ... Of course if you have your own room...and you call people there, you can charge them per person. And more money then...
If you live in big city, go to top gyms and find out how they pay for trainers and personal trainers. Or if you know some site, where people can apply for different jobs...you might get your answer there. More certs you have...more money you can make. Its a great investment. If you can...you can do it without...just dont get into trouble, if someone asks, where is your cert.
