I have consistently gone to the gym for the past 2 weeks, I feel that I am losing too much weight too quickly, I began at 200 Lbs and after my usual routine yesterday I am now at 182. My routine consists of Basketball or Racquetball, followed by a 1 mile run and then for the next hour I swim. Is it normal for me to be losing this much in this amount of time?

If you just started this routine, it's not uncommon to quickly drop a lot of weight in the beginning.

It'll eventually slow down as your body adjusts. Plus, a lot of it might have been water weight.

Although if you're concerned, talk to a doctor before continuing your regimen (just to be safe). :)

Thanks for clearing that, I don't feel like I need to see my doctor though.
I've been eating as I normally do, which is once in the morning and I usually eat after working out either at a fast food restaurant or at Ihop and Waffle House.

Eh?

Well, I can't really say I agree with that.. lol

You don't want to cancel out all the work you just did by throwing back a few stacks of waffles :[

But you're still losing you say? Hmmm.. Lucky genes perhaps? I know that if I even smell the aroma of a fatty breakfast, it's almost as if I seem to gain weight. I don't even have to eat it.

I usually eat chicken or eggs, I stay away from waffles, pancakes and anything excessively greasy.

Wait don't tell me. You're also a Nobel Peace Prize winning Prince, you've married to a model who happens to also be a scientist and both of you live happily on Fountain of Youth Boulevard?
*Emerald gives up on life*

You're amazing. You have great drive. Keep it up ^_~*wink

Actually I'm a 23 year old college student. My day begins at 5 PM, although I stated that I play basketball, racquetball, run and swim I never claimed to be proficient at any of this.

I play ball for 1 hour either one, not both

Then I run only 1 mile and that takes me 10-11 mins, which I think is pretty slow.

After I swim for an hour, and I sit in the sauna for 10 mins and then the steam room for 10 mins.
This may also be why I have been losing weight rapidly.

I'm a single loser and I'm terrified of becoming old.

Do you have any other sarcastic comments you want to share?

It is my fault I apologize, after years of being picked on for being the fat kid I've always taken things negatively.

It is also my fault for misinterpreting, for that I apologize.

I feel that the most important part of my routine is swimming. I have muscle and mass, I but for now I am trying to cut and tone.

When I swim I try to swim back and forth the lap pool, without touching the ground. I do get tired so I continue walking until I've recovered enough stamina then I continue swimming. To me form is more important than speed so I take my time. I usually swim 12 laps back and forth, and walk every fourth lap.

In the sauna, I do light aerobics such as push ups and sit ups, I've recently began to do judo push ups instead of regular push ups because of the range of motion used in the shoulders and the pelvis. It is important for me to sweat as much as I can in these 10 mins because this is the end of my routine.

As for the steam room, I sit and recuperate until I am ready to shower.

I understand how dangerous it is to sit in the sauna and steam room for a prolonged amount of time, so I keep hydrated with a flask of water.

Even now, I am still losing 2 lbs every day at the gym. I am currently at 176, about 3 weeks ago I was at 200. When should I start plateauing?

Awesome job with the weight loss or cutting so far.
We know your exercise program but what about your diet because we only know about one meal. that might help with figuring out when your gonna slow down too.
keep it up =)
