Abs and Chest help.

While i am losing weight with my diet and exercise and wat not. Ima be working hard on my abs. So that when I do start ot loe my gut, they might show just a lil. Now, is there a difference from tone abs, and cut abs? IS are just nice looking abs..nice looking. Right now, I do abs everyother day. To give them time to rest and heal up. But lately, I can barley get them to be sore. My question is, will I see results faster if I work hard on my abs while i am losing this weight? And how long will it be beofre I start to see alil defination. Also I need some new excerises. Rgiht now I do regular crunches on some machine. And then I do weight (sitting uprgiht) crunches, and then for my lower. I sit down, lift my legs off the ground wiht my hands in the air and bring my legs to my chest. Anything else I can do? Right now I do a total body workout all week and focous on every part. But my main concern is my Chest (pecks) and my stomach. Being over weight I have man boobies haha. Not rly htat big but, as i lose hte weight..will they go away and show my pecks more? Any advice on different excerises i can do would hlep me alot. Thx guys!

Hey Tinted, sounds like ur a bit of a newbie, me too! I'v found that my abs have started to show through without much excersise. Most people have got a 6 pack underneath, just too much fat to show them. Now, to get them cut or ripped, you will want to do weighted crunches or v situps (lay flat and lift ur shoulders and legs at the same time. Pecs wise bench press and pushups are great. I've just bought myself a bench and 250lbs of weight...cant lift it all yet!! I've found a great way to maximise the deep burn on my pecs...when i cant do another rep i get sum1 (spotting me) to help me back to the top of the rep, and lower the weight as slowly as i can back to the holder. I can get it about 30 secs at the moment, but it really hits them hard, i think its called static training, u can do it with biceps and triceps too. Hope this helps, and more experienced members feel free to correct iv im wrong on anything...main point Abs are made in the kitchen, eat clean and healthy, they'll come all by themselves. good luck!!

hm..your ab muscles are like any other muscle in the body. doing them day after day probably isnt such a good idea. you need to give a days rest in between. id think.
