about resting time

hi guys what is the best resting time btw sets?? i find the shorter i rest the more soreness i get, so does it mean its a better work out?? is 20 seconds good?
 
if you want pure size, go for under 2 min, if you want str/endurance.. 3-5 min. the idea of time between sets is so your ATP can restore and stuff like that.
 
20 seconds isn't ideal unless you're trying to circuit train/get cardio in with weights.
60 seconds is my minimum rest time. 3 mins is my max rest time,, unless I think i'm gonna puke from squats...then I might wait 5 mins.
 
Yes! exactly! it depends on the exercise, I was gonna say the exact same thing as malkore, with squats, sometimes I easily need 5 minutes. But other exercises I'm ready to go in 20 seconds no problem.

If you're dizzy after the exercise and your mouth is extremely dry..then you need to rest a while, trust me on that one.

i read an article where it said that 3-5 min was best for str/power AND end.. :S Though, i realise shorter is much more logic..
 
If you could find the article I'd be willing to read it.. But I've read a few textbooks, and give or take 15 secods those are the times.. Power is usually 5+ min tho..
