ABBAgirl is 40 lbs down, peeps!

Started in June/July of 2007 at 5'4" and 211 lbs. EEK! Using portion control a la Weight Watchers, and starting one heckuva treadmill routine EVERY SINGLE FREAKIN' DAY, I have managed to shed about 40 lbs so far. My goal is 155, so I still have a ways to go. I am currently hovering between 169 and 171. Enjoy the show. The pics aren't exactly in order, but the one where I am skinniest is the most recent! Thanks to all others who have posted their pics! You are an inspiration to me!

Pics/Weights:
White headband - 211 lbs.
Seated - over 200 lbs
Face only shot - over 200 lbs
Dark pants, about 170 lbs.

Girl you look so good! Way to go on your weightloss. Whats your one heckuva treadmill routine....lol? I'd like to give it a go! I started my weightloss at 240 lbs. and I am currently down to 190 lbs. since August 07'. I am also 5'4. If you don't mind me asking and mind sharing .... what size pants are you in? Thanks for the extra motivation!
 
Just 40 pounds and already lookin' like a different person. Fantastic progress, Janice. You are really looking good. Gooooo Canada! (I was looking for the Canadian flag emoticon, but couldn't find it. :( Oh well.)

Also, we are no longer neck and neck. You are now ahead of me by a landslide. :)
 
:seeya:Thanks for all your kind words! I am marginally frustrated by how hard I seem to have to fight for every single pound these days, as the first 30 dropped off with virtually only a change in my portion sizes!

I took to my treadmill in November, once :eh:winter hit in BC. BRRR! Anyhoo, from the start I determined not to spend less than one hour on said 'mill, at least 5 x per week. During commercials I got off and did situps and pushups. Plus, the 'mill is set on a very steep (ok, if you know how clumsy I am, it is actually DANGEROUS!) incline.

I hit a plateau and was stuck at 176 for about 1.5 months, a total rip off! However, I continued shrinking during this time, happily:sifone: Then I decided that I would try to RUN during commercial breaks instead of doing situps, and do them at the end. Also, I decided that on some days I would actually indulge in an hour and a half on the 'mill, if the tv shows were really good that day! LOL

Running seemed to break my plateau. I do find that I need to drink apple cider vinegar daily to combat joint pain (I am getting old, you know!), and the weight is not exactly falling off these days, but I AM DETERMINED TO REACH MY GOAL!!!

wow!!! you wear your weight well!! I never would have guessed you were overweight!! BRAVO!!!! Congrats on the weight loss, I bet you feel sooooooooo much better!

You look wonderful! Like you could be a Dancing Queen! (Sorry, had to get that ABBA reference in there.)

But really, you look wonderful!! Loosing the weight really takes years off of oneself. Congratulations!
 
Thanks kindly, everyone! It is music to my ears to receive such encouragement from you all! I am pleased with my success to this point, and have no plans to stop any time soon! My goal is in sight...:willy_nilly:
