Ab workouts: daily or every other?

I have a very intensive ab routine that i do that really kills my muscles, they are sore as whatever the next day and it hurts to laugh and cough lol. I am looking to tone my abs and burn some fat in the process. Am i best off doing this every day or do i need to allow time for my abs to heal?

Also, I sometimes get a tingling feeling in my hands and/or feet as i am lifting or working out? What is this, is it harmful, and is it due to not doing a warm up?

Your abs are just like any other muscle in your body. They need rest just the same. Do your ab work 2 or 3 days a week. Killing them more than other muscles will just lead to overtraining.

If you want to burn off fat around your mid-section; you're going to have to do cardio. You can not spot reduce fatty deposits.

The tingling; i get that sometimes too. It is most likely that you are holding the bar in way that is a millimeter off and it pinches a nerve. I'm assuming the tingling is not painful and only lasts a matter of seconds.

i agree with adler. this year i began doing my abs with my cardio on days b/w workouts. i found i could concentate more on them this way.

just an idea ;)
