Ab routine for summer six pack-please critique!

So over the winter I'm bulking up my abs, doing 2 or 3 ab exercises to failure 5-6 days per week. When spring comes, I'm going to switch to more cardio to lose the excess fat and reveal the abs I've built up underneath. But my question is: what would be a good amount of maintenance ab exercises per week? I want to maintain all the gains I made and not have my abs atrophy, would 2x weekly ab work until failure be adequate?

Doing too many ab exercises can lead to a thick core. I recommend lowering the amount of ab exercises you do and maintain that all the way through spring, and start burning excess fat now rather than waiting till spring.
