Ab help

Alright, i'm 18 years old and i'm trying to get a 6 pack. Actually, it doesn't even need to be a 6-pack yet, that can come in time, but I would like to become leaner. I tried a couple of months of ab exercises, but I think i'm missing something, because the lower part of my stomach is still a tad chubby while everything else is starting to smoothen out and harden a bit. Could somebody please help me understand a tried and true ab workout, as well as a corresponding diet that wouldn't be too hard to keep to (as in, don't need to buy a ton of particular foods)?

My uunderstanding is that you are after a flat stomach and a six-pack in time, and you have been doing quite a bit of ab exercises in hope of this result? This is a mistake many people make. Yes Ab exercises are great for your abdominals and building and strengthening them, but if you still have a layer of fat over the top you are not going to see a flat stomach or a six-pack. It's great you've been doing ab work, but you would need to do some aerobic exercises to decrease your body fat mass. Look into aerobic exercises and also some strength training for the rest of your body, because increased muscle mass means your body can decrease body fats moree efficiently. This should be combined with a healthy diet as well
If you complete some aerobic exercise and continue to do your ab exercises combined with a healthy diet, you should get your flat stomach and if you're stick with yourself a six pack will come...remember to give it time though!!!
