ab help?

I do fairly intense ab work outs, and have well defined abs, but when I stand sideways, at a profile, my upper and lower abs stick out much much more than the middle of my stomach, giving my stomach a ) shape instead of the flat descent I asscociate with a healthy 6-pack. any suggestions?

maybe that because you do exercises that target the top and bottom and less the middle. Abs are tough to figure out but id probably do exercises with more range of motion. Many people have this "problem"
