Ab Crunches.

Okay here it is I'm 23 and weigh in at 268 lbs. I started working out on my Bowflex a week ago and lost 13 lbs. Anyways I 've been doing a ab crunch on 40 lbs. resistance and 30 reps twice a day makeing it 60 crunches anyways I was just wondering if this is healthy?
