A road to a happier & healthier me

Hello everyone :)

I am new here and am hoping by joining the community I can enhance my motivation and gain inspiration by becoming a member of this forum. I’ve joined at the latter end of my weight loss journey, so my goal is smaller than some since I have lost a large part of the weight that I had gained.

In January I weight around 14st 4 – 200 pounds
I weighed this evening and I am 11st 8 – 162 pounds

My goal is to be 150 pounds (hopefully by September first as that’s when I am moving cities).

I am running 5 times a week and am going to start keeping a food journal. My dieting has not been good, I eat 1, 700 calories a day but make up most of that in chocolate and bad foods. Now its time to change my eating habits and to become healthier, and ensure my weight stays off.

I’ll post my weigh ins on here every Monday, so hopefully I will achieve my goal for September.

I am a 5’11 male btw. If anybody has any advice, that would be great :D

So it has been a while since I posted last. Just a quick update really.

I weighed on Monday and I was 159 pounds which is 11stone and 5 pounds.

It’s not as much weight as I would have like to have lost, but it’s a good start. My diet is still pretty unimpressive, generally made up of not-so-great foods which make up my 1,800 calorie limit. I plan to eat a great deal better and make a journal of what I am eating.

My general downfall has been that I have drunk alcohol on 2 ocassions in the last 14 days and I found that the next day my hangover meant I ate junk which I otherwise wouldn’t eat.

Still, 159 is good enough for me and only 5 – 9 pounds away from my goal weight :)
