A Merciless Memoir

Ok, so I have this journal on the other Fitness.com site but thought I'd post it here for the heck of it. I'll simply copy and paste my sections, but if any of you post, I'll have a fresh response section for this site =] Maybe I'll meet some pretty cool people here as I did on the other site that I talk to frequently. I was surprised to find a few people that did the same as me over there, so maybe I'll be surprised over here =]

The main reason I'm posting is that wrestling season is only for a few more weeks. After that I'm going to add on a few pounds for powerlifting, and then cut. So I will put on a little bit of weight (hopefully muscle), and then try to lose the fat I have and keep the muscle.

A little background information:

Age: 16
Name: Mike :)
Height: 5'6
Weight: 160

Alot of you might think, oh he's 16 he doesn't know too much. But actually, I read alot of articles, books (currently reading "New Rules of Lifting" by Lou Schuler+Alwyn Cosgrove), and studies on these certain things. That's one of the main reasons why I'm here. I hope that I can help some of you out in any way possible =]

I'm from Boston, MA. I am a sophomore in High School, and I'm involved in alot of activities. As you can probably tell, I'm on the powerlifting team as well as the wrestling team. In the wrestling off season, when I have more time, I do charity work in downtown Boston every Wednesday. I also am involved in several clubs at school. During the school season, when I'm not wrestling, I work as a Maintenance Operator for the school. I'm kind of like a janitor, except I tell kids what to do and I do alot of the actual 'maintenance' work which is more like construction as opposed to janitorial work. During the summer I have a summer job as a YMCA Camp Counselor that deals with 6-8 year olds. Ummm... I think that's it, anything else just ask me :)

I currently take only...
1)Occasional Whey Shake
2)Multi
3)Oil Blend Pills

A normal weekday for me would be...
6:00 - Wake up
6:30 - Be at school for powerlifting
8:15 - Be in homeroom for school to start
2:24 - School = OVER! But I need to hurry down to lockeroom, and get ready
3:00 - Wrestling "officially" starts, but we usually start before 3
5:30/6 - Wrestling is over and I'm on my way home

For my journal sections, I have them all nice and neat, to make it easier for both you and I :)

I hope you enjoy reading my joural, and hope you post up questions, comments, hate speeches - anything you want :)

Diary:

Powerlifting: Powerlifting schedules are done by the powerlifting coach, and he doesn't include weekends.

Wrestling: Uh oh. We drove 2 damn hours back and forth to go 1-2. =\ and whats even worse? our 2 captains went straight to the hospital after the meet.

First team we wrestled, coach was  PISSED  we gave up 3 matches in the last 10 seconds of the 3rd round. 2 of which we were winning, and 1 we were tied. We lost to that team.

Second team we faced was pretty good. Our 140, 145, 152, 160, and 171 STRAIGHT all got pins. It was insane, our side was going crazy. Then, unfortunately, we lost the last 3. But we ended up beating that team.

Last team was the home team. I didn't get to see most of it, but we got manhandled. I think we lost around 50-6? something in that range. This is where Luis (Captain, 171) got a possible broken wrist. This is the toughest guy on the team, so when I saw him clinching his wrist and gritting his teeth, I knew it was very bad. Armando (Captain, 160) got his shoulder injured a little bit, possibly dislocated, but nobody knows. Right after the meet (only 3 guys wrestled after Luis' possible broken wrist) Armando's dad took the both of them straight to the hospital. I'm praying both of them are alright.

JV's didn't wrestle, well, only a couple of them did...but since my weight class has like 6 guys, only 3 160's got the chance.

Our team record is now 5-14 =\
