A Good Treadmill Speed?

My current W/O Regimen for Cardio

Is I Start of Warming up on treadmill.

Walk for a good 2-5 min.

Then I Start off at 7.4,
then I Increase
I usually end up at 8.2-8.5 range

Recently I found myself being able to run close to 3 MILES STRAIGHT!

I'm just asking,
Is the speed I am currently on a good speed?
I'm averaging about a 8 min Mile.

Also, what incline should I put it at.

Appreciate it

Yeah, that's a good speed. Increasing the incline will work other muscles, so that is a good idea.

That really depends on your goal. If you’re asking whether or not an 8 min average is respectable… then yes. But what is the goal of your running... to lose weight, run a 5k, ... ?

As far as incline, at a minimum, I would have level 1-2. But in general, you want to mix your running workouts in order to keep your body from adapting.

Let's say you run 3 days a week. I prefer time over distance.

Monday - easy day, 8:15 pace, 30 minutes

Wednesday - hills, 8:30 pace with random incline from level 4 - level 10 (or whatever works for you), 30 mintues

Friday - intervals, 7:30 pace hard, 8:30 pace eay, 30 minutes

Adjust the pace, time, and levels accordingly.

That's fantastic if you can keep that up for 3 miles. That's like basically 24 minutes and that's really good, in my opinion.

I suppose the reason why you ask if it's alright is because you don't see a whole lot of other people running on the treadmill. In my experience, I found that most people don't like running. Mostly people hang onto the easier exercises rather than the "harder" ones.
