A few questions!

Hey everyone, in the last month or so i've noticed that i've started to become alot more hungrier, like i want to eat more frequently. I dont know why, but I think it may be something to do w/my exercise. I run alot (about everday or every other), and every day or so i do tons of situps (focusing on both upper and lower stomach muscles). I know that an increase in muscle mass leads to an increase in metoblism/more calories burned, and i know that running speeds it up, but do you think thats the cause? Or am i just getting fat? A few of my friends eat all the time & they're skinny as rods, but i have hadreally slow metabolism as a teen.

I'm 18, 5'10, and weigh 141... Any suggestions?

btw, i also drink 5-6 bottles of water & i know that water increases metabolism. Is this contritubing to it?

*Last question*: Say I dont run for 2-3 days, is it still ok to do my regular situp workout? I'm just looking for a nice trim stomach, but I have heard that if you don't loose weight & just add muscle then the fat will just show more. So, yay or nay?

thanks guys!

omg last one i swear! hows this for a diet? Everything up till 3 relies on my school day, so thats pretty the only healthy thing to eat there. Btw, can someone list complex carb foods? I really have no idea what foods have them!

7- bowl of cereal or 2 eggs
10- granola bar (190 calories)
12:15- Power bar, maybe another granola bar
3: Trail mix bar or something of that sort, maybe a sandwhich
5-6- dinner

as in every post about abs.....theres no point concentrating so much on em! Yes ur right the muscle will only push the fat out further! So concentrate on the weight first!

Well the reason why you're hungry and why your metabolism is so slow is b/c you eat way too little.

Your body is going into starvation mode, wanting to store everything as fat thinking you're stuck in the middle of the Sahara with nothing but a toothpick. The only thing that's keeping your metabolism up is the running and the water, as you already know.

And at 141 5' 10" you seem like a "skinny rod" like your friends. (no offense).

Eat more protein and complex carbs such as wheat bread, oatmeal, vegetables, brown rice -- mostly everything that's not refined...

I see, well thanks for the advice! What about my diet, should i be eating more protein (ie. meats, etc), or is it fine?
