A few more full body wo questions

I think I am going to go with the suggested program on

I started doing full body work outs last week and my legs are still sore from Saturdays work out. My questions are should I be doing 3 sets for each exercise for a balance between strenght and growth? Also why do they have them listed as A, B1, B2..... is B2 optional?

Oh yea I am guessing I am sore because I haven't lifted legs for a while because of a knee injury. I have always been told/read that you should never train sore, has that changed with full body workouts? I am going to try to get my protein back up to 1 gram per pound and increase my complex carbs as well to speed recovery but I still think i may still be a little sore after a days rest

You can train through slight soreness/stiffness. If it really hurts just sitting still then you might want to reconsider.

I got an example for the B1 B2 stuff
you do supersets, first B1, rest, B2, rest, B1, and so on.
Example:
B1 Bench press 3x10
B2 Bent over row 3x10

Here you start with the bench press do 10 reps, then rest, then do bent over row for 10 reps, then start over. Repeat until you have done all the sets. Get it? That's supersets with full rest. Some people go from B1 to B2 without rest, but rest between B2 and B1 again :p But don't worry about that for now.

And if you just started this new routine, it's normal to be a bit sore at first.

Thanks' thats what I was thinking but wasn't sure. I only have on bar so supersetting is going to be hard but I'll figure something out.

This is new to me, I've been lifting for about 12 years but hae been doing the old one part per day routein. I figure it will take a while for my body to get used to this. Thanks again for the help

Yep, and I plan on doing it the rest of my life. I am going to try not to be one of the old guys in the gym (not there yet) doing the same thing for 50 years though
