A Day In The Life of m2m :)

keeping your sugars spaced out over the course of the day is ideal, overloading or stacking sugars is the easiest way to gain weight.

20% morning 30% lunch 30% supper 20% snack or less is ideal. If you went sugar and carb free all day and slammed down a big bag of M&M's and hit 100% of your sugar intake, your body can't take it all it once and turns it into unused carbs and eventually fat.

Blood cells need 3 major things in important time frames to keep your weight off - sugar, iron and oxygen. Sugar overloads just can't be processed in one load to be efficiently distributed.

Low calories again, today!

Been eating more salad? =D

You're right about the candy bar, but I've still got bad eating habits I guess XD

OK - that makes sense T2 - So I had 1 TBS of peanut butter earlier today, and 1 tonight (a serving is 2 TBS) - and does the same thing about sugar stacking count for fruit?

Mia - the calories are definitely up from yesterday, but looking back over my history, I generally have a couple of low days a week, a couple of spot on and a few at the higher end of my range and 1 that's above, so over the week the calories kind of even out.

I did have a lot of catabolics scattered throughout the day though :D

Yes Debi, it does.

Since you're walker (when you return) you could do better by uping your sugars at morning and lunch and cut back later because your muscle usage is going to be peak during your workout, it's kinda like supply and demand. sugar is the molecular power station in each red blood cell which will get used up faster during the workout hence consistent weight loss. Burning vs. Storage = Key results.

hmmm...ok, since my plan these days was a fruit at breakfast, lunch and snack and at least 3 vegies at dinner - my vegies looked more like fruits today ;) Tomatoes, cukes, squash

I need to get a better understanding of when it's best to eat what foods - I've been going along all willy nilly just reducing my calories - and probably one reason I rarely if ever post a menu - Not all my days have been nutritious, and this past Halloween week, I'd end the day with 1100 calories, but 300 were from snickers.

I'm going to get a better working knowledge of how and which foods effect blood sugar levels - as well as what to eat with what, not just for my sake, but for bob's.

With your future ambition in walk racing, you'll be surprised what sugar levels will do for your performance. It's just important for competition as it is for weight loss. Soon you will be explaining complex carb breakdowns to me :)

Well, I have a basic understanding of nutrition, but certainly not what I need to know.

I'll fix that :D

I'm off to bed, g'night and thanks for the info - I'm sure I'll be picking your brain a'plenty :D

Thanks Star! I don't think I'd have any problem strutting with some Daisy Dukes - if only I had trim, firm, TAN legs LOL! Granted - Bob and Megan might be mortified ;)

Mornin' Debi! Just wanted to wish you a good Thursday! :)

Thanks DQ - I hope you're having na good day :)

Good morning, M2M!

No, my calories aren't low - the were two hundred higher then yesterday, and yes they're lower then the "goal range" from sparks but I haven't been exercising AT ALL - I've been the proverbial lump on a log so I need less calories this week. And yes, that fiber is making me proud :D LOL!

It is TOUGH planning all that fiber for me!

Morning Girlie! Did ya enjoy those grapes last night?! I've recently taken to almonds. I can't eat 'em whole, but I bought some from Harris Teeter that were sliced for me, OMG they are so delicious. I'm about to OD on these things. I put 3 oz in a zip lock bag and they are almost gone even though they are supposed to be my afternoon snack. Oh well, so much for that huh?? lol

Have a great Thursday! :D :D

Have a wonderful Day M :)
You are doing so good! I wanted to thank you for the support :)
GO M!!!!!!!:D :p :D :p
