keep it up. you can do this just keep your focus and if you need averbal kick in the ass.. i'm ready..:) really go easy on yourself, its hard but you can do it ok.
YES PLZ! Actually I'd be more like a "written" kick in the ass, but I'll take it! :p

ok you asked for it... alright put down that crappy food and step away. the fat around your organs is gonna kill you, yes it will don't argue its fact.. you want to be hot then think hot .. eat good food not tastey sweet, greasy heavy sit in your gut crap.. get off your hinny get out there and work it. picture yourself running after some hot babe thats teasing you to try and catch her- run faster.lol the visual might work.. really go for what you want and stick with it, yes its hard but so is life. there are others out there doing the same thing and some that have it way worse. so get off your butt and work it. what kind of insentive do you need??? lets find something and make a reward that will entice you to succeed. there hows that ;)

Ive actually found that if I can actually get behind an attractive lady I can keep a much faster pace than usual. Strangely enough, my pace seems to match hers exactly...who would have thought.

Ive never actually tried visualizing a woman though....if no one is there I tend to just zone out and fall into the music.

ahh see!! so put on a head band attach a wire and a picture of a hot babe on the end and your all set... lol

haha thats funny, actually woman are the furthest thing on my mind right now. Granted part of the whole gettin in shape thing is so I can find one, but right now I'm just focused on looking good for myself and just being healthy overall. I want to look in the mirror and feel confident to go out and do whatever it is I need to do without feeling self conscious about my weight. That is my goal.

"Okay so I'm actually feeling really good about myself. I've kept up with everything so far on my diet and exercise routine, except for Sunday. But in the past when a situation like Sunday were to happen where I broke the diet, I would just keep making excuses for the next day like, "welll i ate that yesterday, so i might as well just give up and eat fast food today." So everything is going well. And tommorow I will get to weigh in for the first time in a week."

Committment. Good. Keep us posted on your results. Try not to weigh yourself more than once every 1-2 weeks. The less often the better in your situation, as motivation is generally higher if you gauge yourself on how you look and feel.

That may be the case...but does that change the way they look? I dont care what Im doing, women still look good, and I like to look at them.

1 Week down, Woohoo

1 week down and many more to go. But as of today I am feeling great. Just eating right and exercising regularly for 1 week has changed the way I feel. What a good feeling it is to feel good :D . This is also 1 week without smoking a cigarette, woohoo. I thought taking on both of these tasks at once was going to be overbearing for me, but It is actually helping me to stay twice as motivated. I'm looking at it like, well you havent smoked for a whole week, ur on the path to quitting, what else can you accomoplish for yourself?! Now I havent weighed in yet today, but even if I havent lost the pounds, I can already tell a difference in the mirror. Nothing dramtic but since I see myself everday, I'm noticing ;) . When I get home I will weigh in and post. Im on my way, and I'm not giving in this time!

Im just the opposite, since i see myself everyday I dont notice any difference. After losing 50 pounds, I could tell a bit of a difference, but I didnt realize how drastic it was until I saw pictures of myself before.

I really wish I had done before and after photos.

Keep it up man. I quit smoking a couple of years ago and it was tough for about 2 weeks. Then it's alot easier. I just wish I had started working out then too.

I was thinking of taking a before pic as well. Even now I don't think I look that big until I see pictures of myself. Then it's like "HOLY CRAP!".

I tell you the thing to look forward to: When you lose all the weight and you run into people you havent seen in a while. Their reactions is very good for the self esteem. :p Always peps up my day to get comments like those.

Thanks Jenn! I'm happy, It'd be nice to see another 5 drop off this week, but we'll see.

Nicely done. Keep it up.

In my experience, the more extra weight you have, the easier it tends to be to lose, so another 5 lb weight loss week is likely.

Legs hurting while running

So not yesterday, but the day before when I ran I was having some difficulty with my legs after about 10 mins. I've got my breathing pretty well under control now so I can run longer without having to slow down and catch my breath, but when I was running I was having to walk every now and again after I would give a good busrt of running because my legs just ached soo bad. I've had shin splints before so I know it wasn't that, but my legs were just turning into jelly. I'm going to attempt to run again tonight hoping that my legs were just sore from running the day before. I really hope that I'm not doing any damage to myself because I'm determined to lose all this weight and I'm not going to let anything stand in my way.

Breakfast- Bowl of oatmeal w/raisens and a bannana
Lunch-Turkey Sandwich on whole wheat w/Mustard and Celery and Carrots
Dinner- went out to eat at smokey bones, Got pulled pork, mashed potatoes, baked beans and some onion rings. So this was not a healthy meal.
Snack- none
Exercise-none

ok, i lost 33lbs of body fat in 1 and a half yrs following a few simple rules. you need to listen to your body more and try to forget ur past eating habbits, this will take some time and will power but if your serious enough then it will happen. Listen to ur body more, when you feel hungry, EAT! the daily meals you are consuming at the moment are comparable to the diet of a small monkey. eat 2500 cals a day, healthy cals, carbs, protien and healthy fats. When your stomach rumbles, eat until ur satisfied but dont over do it, if you eat slowly enough then you will naturally know when to stop. ever seen a fat person eat slowly? i know i never did. i couldnt wait to fill my face with pizzas and kebabs every day. ur stomach has probably shrunk to the size of a peanut and i believe ur weight loss at the moment is due to the face ur body is burning muscle for energy. Im sorry to piss on your fireworks like this but someone has to point you in the right direction for your own well being. This is the only problem i can see here, other than that you have the right attitude you just need to stick with it. if you need any more help you know where to find it mate, stick at it!

Okay, So I havent been posting my exercise and food for the past few days. But it has all been roughly the same. I get to weigh in when I get home tonight for week 2. Im not sure how it's going to go. I had to cut my running time down yesterday to 20 minutes because my legs were really really sore. I'm not sure what is causing this but it's really demoralizing. If it is possible, i'm going to try to ride my bike a little more for exercise to give my legs a break this week, but I'm not sure if that is going to be able to happen condsidering it snowed again here today. Yesterday I also tried on of those protein shakes. My mother is doing an exercise routine with a PT and she has been doing the protein shake thing. The one I tried yesterday was vanilla, and at first I thought it wasnt bad, and got half way through the can and had to pour the rest out. Not very tastey. But I might purchase a few different flavors here, and see if those are more tolerable. But anyways, again I weigh in tonight, I hope there is more lossage there. *crosses his fingers*
