I joined this thread in Feb of 2009 when i started my diet..well life change. I am 19 years old and 5'2. I've wanted to post pictures for a while but I was scared/self-concious and also worried that my pics would be all over the internet (i know know one would want to use them but im paranoid like that...which is why i water marked them like crazy heh) so yeah, i am not where i want to be just yet but i figure i would just post my pics so far. I am getting p90x soon so i am excited to get toned! Note: i am not a skank, far from that. i tried on a tight short dress just to see what i looked like and took some pics...i didnt go out in public like that. I also have a very hard time seeing the results for myself, if you know what i mean. I still feel obese... buut im working on that part tooo. so here i go:

Wow! Congrats on the progress you've made so far! :) You look fabulous and must be thrilled! I know I will be when I lose my first 60! Anything out of the ordinary you've done besides changing your diet and exercising?

well the obvious, diet and exercise. i didnt do anything extreme...i just stopped eating like a warthog and worked out a looot. i kept the calories to about 1000-1200 a day. i eat cereal for breakfast, a fruit for lunch, and a small dinner. out of the ordinary..umm well to motivate myself i surrounded myself with pictures of people who are fit (like hot celebrities and belly dancers). i put the pics in my room and it is the background on my phone and computer so i am forced to see it everywhere. i get many strange looks though when i open my phone and theres like a half naked women in the background hah.

Hehe that sounds like some good motivation! I usually make a daily habit of looking at my before pictures as a reminder of what I don't want to look like anymore. I think everybody does that though. :)

Congrats...It is really awesome!!!--I might try the pics for motivation myself...Gotta let my girlfriend know why I have those pics though...lol

Great job girl! Keep it up!

How long did it take you to lose the weight?

What was your biggest challenge getting started?

thank youuuu :)
i started my weightloss towards the end of feb 2009. i started slow because i knew if i tried anything drastic, it wouldnt work (and i've tried many stupid diets in the past. they work for about 2 weeks then you gain it all back plus some). the biggest challenge...hmmm to be honest i was so into getting fit nothing seemed all that bad. i mean i had occasional cravings but nothing that bad. also, my best friend (who was around 150 which to me is not fat) wanted to get fit also and was inspired by my dedication so we both did it together and supported eachother. she is now in the army and i havent seen her in three months :( but that makes me work harder to really shock her when i do see her.

Wow you look really good. If you just put the watermarks
no one will take take them and you'll be fine. (=
I was paranoid like that too, keep up the good work.

Damn you were working it in picture 3 weren't you? Don't even lie... But you look very good and good job on the weight loss beautiful :]

you look really good, ur the same height as me and about the same weight as me, but i'd look nowhere near as good in that black dress as u do lol. The dress isn't skanky either :p it looks good!

Great job. You look amazing. The self-perception thing takes time. A good therapist can really help with that.

That dress isn't really skanky. Its hot, for sure, but not skanky. Skanky is more an attitude. To dress skanky you really need to be a skank. Don't be afraid to flaunt what you got (and you do have it).

thank you everybody :) this forum is so motivating! everyone is doing sooooo great! here is a little update...i've been stuck lately. usually its like a pound lost every 2-3 weeks :/...i am currently doing p90x and i looove it. and i found some more before pics and i wasn't even at my biggest in these pics... and the bunny picture is from halloween this year. my new goal is to be able to wear a bikini in june  need to tone up!
