Lately I have not been focussing on my weight loss and have been lacking the motivation. So keep myself on track I would like to start the 6 week challenge. Would welcome others who would want to be a part of this; it will help me and others keep focussed.

I have chosen 6 weeks as I believe to see any substantial change it atleast takes this much of time.

Once we have participants we can figure out what the grand prize for the winner will be. So People who want to join pls post your starting wt and your weekly goal.

I am starting at 167 Pounds and my weekly goal is to loose atleast 3-4 pounds a week and target for a wt loss of atleast 20 pounds at the end of 6 weeks. Weigh ins will be every monday.

Looking forward to reaching this goal together.

6 week challlenge

This sounds great I'm in!! I usually weigh myself on monday anyways so this will work out fine. I'm starting at 260 and by the end of the challenge I will like to be 20lbs lighter. That about 3-4lb a week. :rolleyes: I can do that!!:D
 
I wanted to do a challenge like this, but I'm glad someone else did so I don't have to organize it :) So I'm in! Starting weight is 222, goal weight is 200 or less. As far as prizes, I don't want to do anything that would entail giving money as that could motivate a cheater. I like the idea of postcards from everyone.
 
I'm in! This sounds like fun, and I agree - no money involved but postcards sound good!

My info is below in the signature. Though I officially weigh tomorrow morning again.

My goal is 4lbs per week, so I guess 24 lbs for the 6 weeks.

Perfect, I love these challenges because they keep me motivated. Im definetly in! My current weight is 169, Ive kind of been slacking off with my exercise routine, because I am hardcore studying for finals, which finish on Thursday, Yay!! So my goal for August 6th is to be 155, Thats 14 pounds to loose, in 6 weeks.... so thats 2.3 pounds a week.

I like the idea of the winner receiving post cards from others; what do you all think; I know some of you agree but it would be nice to have the buy in from the other participants.

It would also be a nice idea to post how your day went to keep each one of us foccused and on track. It would be nice to post your daily water intake; excercise routine and your meals for the day.....what do you all think.
 
Sign me up! im at 210lbs. I'm taking a week off to "reboot" my body. After that, i'm going to take a different exercise approach. When I weight lift, i'm going to do a total body workout, all muscle groups in 1 day, 3x a week, MWF including cardio.Then I'm going to up my calorie intake to about 1800-2000. I've been researching, maybe i'm not losing the weight I want to because my body has gotten used to my predictable routine. Time to throw a curve ball.

My weigh in is at 169 Pounds :rolleyes: may be all that food I had over the weekend...well it is time I kicked myself in the butt...so today is Day 1 of Week 1.

I hope it's not too late to join:eek: I just got in today and read the new posts and I would love to join!. I am at 137 this morning and I am aiming for 125. A loss of 2 pounds a week. I hope I can do it. Good luck to everyone. :)

YAY - I'm excited! KEEP ON ME about water, my latest lab results reported that I need to up my water intake to 10-11 8oz a day!
 
IS is too late? I would love to join...current weight 165. I would like to lose 20 lbs in 6 weeks at 3 to 4 lbs a week...that would put me in the 140's WOW! Please sign me up!!!
