6 months hard cardio!

Hi,

Ok thought it was about time I did a comparrison of progress pics. I decided to really change my lifestyle about 12 months ago, started running and changed my diet. Now im in the gym about 5/6 times a week although its mostly cardio that ive done. Ive started a weights programme tonight with a personal trainer so thought I would take a few pics as a starting point before I bulk up and to compare what weight ive lost.

In total ive lost about 25lbs and come down from bf%19.5 to around 15%.

My goal is to bring this down even further to around 12% and to add some lean muscle mass..........wish there was a miricle pill for this but i figure its all gonna be down to hard work, healthy eating and getting good advice for my training........anyway I will update this every month with a new photo as a way of motivating myself to shred of the bodyfat!

Pls feel free to critique as much as you like, as this will give me more determination to hit my objective.

The first pic was taken about 12 months ago, middle one was taken this week and the third one was taken about 3 weeks ago on holiday (hence the sun!!)

I will have a look for some, didnt used to keep that many pics before I lost my weight, but will take some more pics and post them tomoz. And thanks man!

You have definitely become a lean person; leaner than 15% I would say, maybe 12% already.

Congratulations!

I think adding the muscle is easier than losing fat, so you have the hard part behind you IMO.

You are speaking the truth man. My diet isnt perfect but I figured burning fat would be easy as many years as I have workedout.

I work in construction for 14 years and sweat far more than the average person. PLUS I would come home and workout and still I never lost weight.

DO you know how many caleries I would have to consume to NOT drop weight after sweating all day then workingout in the evening?...Sweating that much I never thought twice about eating whatever I wanted. I guess I should have since I still cant lose weight..

I have just switched from my normal mid/heavy weight lifting I have done for years to more circuit training. Im going to try this and see where it takes me. Plus I still do the treadmill at least 3-5 times a week.

WOW...I think I either hyjacked the thread or just gave a long reply or got way off topic..lol..forgive me.

Thanks G8R80 thats given me a buzz today. Ive been looking forward to hitting the weights and held off for the past few months on word from my personal trainer as Ive has all sorts of issues with over and under developed muscle groups. But its time to hit hit and hit it hard! Dam I sound like an excitable puppy! Maybe I am!

Best thing about all this is, its not just like a new hobby or stuff like that, its completely changed my view point on a lot of things......even finaly quitting smoking after 15 years.......day 18 and counting!

You're looking good :) Good luck with the weight training. A personal trainer was the best investment ever. You won't regret it. You get out what you put in
