I don't know what they mean by "obsessing" in number 3 (3. Obsessing over counting calories), but counting calories is the BEST method for steady and controlled weight loss without having to restrict your diet to specific foods. If you don't know the number of calories you are consuming and number of calories you need for your metabolism, how do you know that you are eating to loose weight and not to gain weight? Just extra 50 calories per day(that's 2 crackers) will make one gain 5 lbs in a year! To me knowing exactly how many calories I eat in a day is the only right way to loose weight!

"37. Refusing to read self-improvement materials on a regular basis. "
Ok, I think this depends a lot on the material in question! A lot of so called self-improvement materials are just designed to make you feel incredibly guilty about the lifestyle you lead(including this one), which lowers self esteem, increases anger and frustration with one self and then in turn generates many weight-obsessed individuals! A lot of self-improvement materials feeds people myths or proposing a change in their lifestyle that would make weight loss incredibly hard thing to do, and will result in people over-eating, stopping their diets, stopping exercise because it is too hard to do and still feel good. Every time I've read weight loss suggestions, 9 out of 10 would call for impossible change, and then say something to the effect that if you can't make the changes in your life, you don't want to loose weight bad enough(which really says you have no will power which also means you are a weak, sub-standard individual). What a bunch of bs! People would really be better off NOT to read materials like that.

31. Thinking of exercise as a must do or chore.

This one struck me, big time. It seems like I can't help but view exercise as a chore..

I really struggle in finding pleasure in it, but I'm trying to find my way.

I really like that list - I used to do lots of them but I've totally changed since the beginning of this week and I feel great! You don't need to obsesss... ofcourse - round calories.. you know, it's the people who freak out about what the calories of everything to the very last one is...
Try thinking of exercise as doing your body a huge favor! Make it enjoyable - do different activities (biking around trails, listen to music that has a good beat, or play a sport) whatever floats your boat! Exercising can be great if you make it!

A few of those I'm guilty as charged but I did good for the most part.

But this: Not taking vitamins and proper supplements.

Should I be taking vitamins and supplements? I'm only 14

I'd say its even more important for you to be taking vitamins because you're still growing, and need the right nutrients! I mean, you don't need to take a pill cocktail each morning, just a multivitamin should do fine. Even though I'm almost 22, I still love the chewable Flintstones vitamins, so that's what I'd suggest :D Toss in some extra Vitamin C when you feel a cold coming on, and maybe D during the winter when you can't get as much sunlight.

Oh my god, I do sooo many of them!!! :(

I have woke up today with a good, positive attitude though

I WILL lose weight

I WILL stick to my diet

I WILL feel better for it

and I WILL have a good time doing it

I know this sounds really dumb, but if you find a program that you like, it will be A LOT easier to stick with it rather than to trudge through one you hate every morning. I had the same problem with my exercise video until I found one by another instructor who really motivated me. I went from Denise Austin to Billy Blanks and love it. He's really kicked my butt into shape over the past 3 months and I've lost 10 pounds by exercising and eating right, No supplements. Good Luck to you and I hope you find something that will work for you!
