47 lbs lost in about 3 months

Hey guys. Thought I'd share my progress. I started getting serious about losing weight in September. I spent the first month doing most of my workout in the gym on a treadmill. As my cardiovascular system improved, I gradually stopped going and focused on working out at home. Sweating on the treadmill made my stamina sky rocket, making regular exercises much easier. I'm actually losing weight at a faster rate without the gym in the picture. Though I still go for a jog once or twice a week.

From 242 lbs to 195:

Frigging Awesome man. Yo really did a great job. You should workout a bit more for your abs.

Wow your abs are massive, you look very strong. Do you strength train along with your cardio? My strength has plateaued for the past 2 months but once I start eating more I know I'll improve.

Just sit ups and push ups. Though It seems I've reached a weight loss plateau sticking to this routine, so I started running again. I'm gonna renew my gym membership in a few days so i don't have to run in the snow. I'm aiming for 180 by the end of December. I like the lean look you have. If i can get as slim I'm pretty sure I'd look incredibly ripped.
 
If I were you, I'd be printing out flyers of your before and after and tackin' 'em to lamp posts around your neighborhood.

Down to 180 lbs now. Pretty noticeable difference between the 15 pounds, no? Can't believe how fat I looked at 195 lbs.

Awesome change in such a relatively short period of time. A testament to your dedication and hard work. I bet you feel like a different person.
 
Thanks guys. For diet I went the Atkins route, not strictly but I limited carbs as much as possible. When in doubt, just add meat.

My exercise routine consists of at least 100 push ups and 1000 sit ups per day. I also run occasionally.
