Weight Loss Challenge
I am someone who is easily motivated by competition. My gym was holding a weightloss challenge and the winner wins an all expense paid trip to Atlantic City for two. I was doing fine without the competition but the fact that I wanted to win really pushed me to workout 6+ times a week. My extremely close friend (who is a girl) joined my gym and we pushed each other really hard.
Believe it or not, she got me to do Yoga. I went into class not really enthusiastic about it, but fell in love with the stress free nature of class. I was naturally flexible before class, but now I am a good flexible. I am not interested in pushing my flexibility much farther since after a point it becomes a little creepy. Yoga really helped get me definition and arm strength.
My girl lost 20 lbs in 2 months and she did not do the challenge and was a full time student. We kept each other in track by doing weekly Wii Fit weigh ins after watching the biggest loser.
I say the best way to lose weight in to keep yourself on track and get a support system. I eliminated a bunch of people from my life who were complaining I was losing weight because they did not think I needed to.
Oh yeah and I gave up coffee in November! I huge task, but I was a serious addict (5+ cups a day with creme and sugar) and went to Dunkin Donuts twice a day. So I have saved assuming I spent $40 on coffee a week, almost $1200 since I started my weightloss.
