Are you sure about diet soda being as fattening as regular soda? I drink about 2 2litre bottles a week. I drink Diet Dr Pepper. Are there hidden calories in diet soda?
I hear that Nutra Sweet causes weight gain but my doctor says it doesn't. Would soda with splenda be better?

I heard from my mother, who heard from a good source, that splenda and other sweetners... when you drink much of them ...they can convert to the body acknowleding them as sugar and are converted ..
I don't drink Diet Soda, because I am pre diabetic and do notice the difference ..plus I do notice the pounds ...
I was 315 and started out in March and have lost 25 pounds ..whilst taking in around 3000- 3500 calories. I have totally turned my life around ... I now weigh 290... just have to change the ticker ..
But I know you can do it to hun...
The Lean cuisines. I tried them ... they aren't that great for a diet ..none of the frozen stuff really is.. unless its vegetables ...
You might want to make meals and don't take potato in ...

you might want to like do a chicken breast with some marinade one it ..kind of like what Blancita wrote with some veggies ..or a whole lotta veggies ...
I used to do that ...now I eat four tble off white potato ..or a whole sweet potato ... all you have to do is click into the free part of fitday.com ...they even have right down to pepperidge farm cookies ...its incredible how freeing it is ..and it has a caculator to calculate your calories burned ... I usually do general walking ... which is about six hundred calories done in an hour ...
I also one in a while get myself marching fast for an hour ..which is about 400 or so calories burned ..
what they say about the calories being too little slowing down the metabolism is true ...but doesnt mean it won't stop ... I was anorexic .. I talk freely because I started this whole diet and anorexic bit since I was 16 ... it was crazy ..
anyway ... you might want to increase your exercise slowly ..it will hurt ..it hurt so bad when
I hit the pavement ..man did I hurt ...but it doesnt hurt as bad anymore ... and I can hike .. once again ..small hikes ..but I can ...
so you can do it!

But you probably need to take in some more calories slowly and increase the exercise and before you know it that metabolism will be going ... exercise especially revs it up ...and larger people usually lose faster ...
Than there is starvation mode ... which your body will take any fat it can get it hands on and store it ..if it is not getting enough
so you might want to increase your caloric intake slowly and increase your exercise five minutes to ten minutes at a time ...
