Hi everyone,

I've been a sneaky lurker.... what can I say, I like my privacy. BUT, regardless, many of the posters have been alot of help and inspiration to me... THANK YOU! So, I figured it's time I came out! I started my health journey in February. It was hard to see any changes at first.... But, after a few weeks, the pounds starting coming off slowly. My plan was cardio (elliptical, running, walking, step aerobics) as well as some weight training, about 4-5 times a week. I always ate pretty healthy and love to cook at home when time permits, but I stepped it up a notch, by eating alot more veggies and fruits.... which likely means I am eating less overall calories. I also started taking some b.c. pills which help to regulate the hormones (I have pcos). I've come a long way, but I still have a ways to go before I would (personally) want to wear a bathing suit in public. I'm surprised to find out that I'm very small boned, so there's still quite alot of fat to come off, even though I'm wearing about 2-3 sizes smaller in clothes. Regardless, I do feel more confident, energetic, and enjoy going out alot more than I used to. Not to mention, I am sure I have reduced, if not eliminated alot of the symptoms that go along with pcos. I feel like I sleep better, eat better, exercise better, work better, have an improved mood and mind-set, and just enjoy life much more.

Most of the weight has come off the mid-area, but oddly enough not very much from my upper or lower half. I was hoping my arms would be alot smaller by now, but I guess you can't pre-determine WHERE it comes off. The gams were always skinny, so no big changes there, except for a bit in the thighs. I was hoping for a more even-spread weight loss, but hopefully the next (hopefully last) 15-20 pounds will start to address this. It is getting more difficult, but I plan to stick to it, kick it up, and show you some update photos in another few months. Aside: I am going to need a buddy to help me get through the final stages.

However, I'm more than happy that I no longer show a double chin in photos: That alone is reason enough to celebrate!

If you have any advice or motivation to offer, please do so! :)

WOW! What can I say, you look wonderful! Congratulations on your weight loss - that's no mean feat. What you look like now is how I want to look ideally - you may want to lose more (and good luck with that!), but for me, having some curves is sexy! You're a real inspiration, well done! :D
