Hi all ...:waving:

Im Dotty .... Im 26 ... My height is 5'5'' and I weigh 154 lbs and this is my all time high weight.... :( BMI is 26.2 which is above normal ...
My target weight is 120 lbs... I wish to lose the 34 lbs by Oct 1st :O ... I know disclosing the target date puts me in total pressure ... But !! I hope that keeps me goin ...

I have been overweight since forever... I either buy L's or XL's .. and lately even XXL's have become tight :( :( :( .... My wedding was scheduled to be on 2nd Feb 2011 and for this reason I joined a gym in Feb 2010 and I worked really hard and made it to my all time low 138lbs. From Oct 2010, I got the worlds worst boss in my dept and he would make us work till late night and I couldnt take out time for my gym anymore... and my wedding was approachin as well and I was still overweight :( .... and yes! I didnt look anythin like how I imagined myself to look on my wedding day ... That sucks !!

Anyways, Here I am .... my second attempt to lose weight and I will not stop for anythin this time... 34lbs Gggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Love this forum !!! Ive been reading a lot of posts since a month and I thought I'll post my story here :) and yes ! Its been 6 days that I joined the gym !! I feel good already !! Will check my weight after a week though!! Yay !!!!

Welcome to the forum. I suggest looking at several of the forum stickied posts for some solid weight loss tips and advice.
 
hi dotty,
your story is so simular to mine i was 5ft6 and 180lbs now im 140lbs
but i found that stressed in life seem to hinder my attempts at loosing weight i do really well then i get stressed and put it back on!
my goal weight is also 120lbs by the end of september.
we can do this

My workout yesterday goes lik this ...
30 min - treadmill
30 min - cross trainer
Lower body workout - 30 min
Exercises for abs - 20 min or so ...

I feel gooooooood today ! Im takin an off from gym today .... Sweet Sunday to all :)

Thanks for the encouraging words.. It brightens up my day really... I got a birthday party invite for tonight... I need to manage gym and the party for the eve... :O ... n also shop for the gift....... oooooooooooooo !! Im game for it....

wowy birthday party..:party:.....means sweet galore......don't overindulge:smash: and even if you do sweat it out tomorrow at the gym.:ack2:.....shopping,gymming,on the move:driving:.already burning calories dear :) Have fun,stay motivated, love life ;)
 
Heyaaaaaaa

I think I sorta overate :O :toetap05: ... I definitely crossed my calorie limit... but I wasnt full yet.... so I think its ok ... Aaaaah :willy_nilly: ....

anyways.. I did have a goooooood work out in the eve though ....

30 min - treadmill ( 12kmph - highest speed ... 6kmph lowest... 4km overall)
30min - cross trainer....
chest exercises , shoulder and triceps - 45 min approx..
10 min for Abs in the end....

I didnt feel heavy this mornin coz of the food..... probably coz of the workout... :D ... Will go today as well .. :)

Treadmill at 12kmph speed, lowest 6kmph, hey you seem high on endurance that's a really good thing :hurray:

My trainer tells me that 120 lbs is too low a goal for someone with a broad frame like mine :O ... oops !!! She says I should not be aiming not less than 60kg(132 lbs) ........ :O .... I was all "I got my weight ticker ready alrdy" .... Eeeeeeeks !!! The game is still on folks.... Ideal weight calculators says 115lbs to 150lbs.... hmmmm Wat do I do frnds???
 
Yay !! Thnx hun ... Ydays workout was pretty much the same... No diff really... Could work out a lil longer as I didnt have a party waitin !! ....

90 mins to go - and ill be in the gym !!

I also want to add that I dont easily get tempted to eat junk ne more.... But yes , on either Saturday or Sunday ... I eat out and thr r no rules for that one day !! :)
 
Sounds like me! I'm 5'4" 155lbs. I just got married in April and due to health issues looked nothing like I planned either. I'm hoping to loose about 30lbs, but my problem is motivating myself, after a hard day not to just sit down, but to go to the gym. Good Luck!
 
Oh oh !! ... It must've felt bad ... hmmmm ... I have planned a fabulous photoshoot in our weddin day attires in Oct.... I hope to reach my target weight by then and look every bit gorgeous in the pics as I imagined... hmmmmmm ....

May be you can plan somethin lik that :) .... on a later date...

Workouts goin good !! I wento psycho in gym yday and i dehydrated myself.. worked out for 2 hours 15min :O ... I felt feverish till this mornin ... Im fine now.... I am definitely slowin it down today ....

Ydays workout
30 min - runnin
15min - treadmill

3 sets of the routine ....
  • Push ups
  • Jumpin Jacks
  • Lunge with twist
  • Seal jack
  • Bicycle crunch
  • Side lunge
  • Triceps - bench dip
  • Crossover fling??? not sure of the name
  • Body weight squat

Wooooooooooo !! I am not doin 3 sets of this today ! :ack2: NOWAY !!2 would be fine...

My trainer says that I would lose 2 inches in a week if I stick to this routine ...:coolgleamA:

Use the pounds that you have lost as motivation! I have learned that it's good to have balance when you are losing weight.

Don't work yourself too much until you want to give up. Make working out and eating healthy part of your life just like you would brush your teeth everyday.

My story is similar to yours..! I am 26 years old female, 5'2"

May 2009 - 180 lbs
Dec 2009 - 140 lbs (my lowest ever )
March 2010 - 160 lbs
August 2010 - 145 lbs (got married)
June 2011 - 155 :(:(:(

We have our anniversary in August and I want to lose atleast 10 pounds by then and come down to 145 ! :( And then I am going back home to India for my brother-in-laws wedding and want to come down to 120 by then !

As of today I was 155.1

I will enter my diet, workout and weight everyday !

I do maintain a google spreadsheet where i record my food and weight and workout, will start to do that here now ! or we could maintain a spreadsheet too ! :)

I little about myself, I am a bigtime emotional eater !! So yesterday wasn't a good day as I had a fight with my hubby :p lol. My husband is working on a project in a different city, so we have to stay apart for a while...so that makes me sad :( I live alone here, and life is just so blahhhh....and ofcourse I find my comfort in food ! :(

Here is are my details for yesterday...so not impressive :(

Weight today - 155.8
Food eaten yesterday - Iced cappuccino, 1 Slimfast protein bar, 3 falafels, some corn, 1 slice of pizza , chips !!!!
Workout - NONE

Not good :(:(:(
