Goal Weight : 140lbs (March 27, 2010)
Total Weight Loss : 24lbs
Goal Duration : 11 Weeks
Average weekly weight loss required: 2.18lbs

I turn 27 on March 29, and I really want to look HOT again . I want clothing shopping to be fun & easy again. I want to feel great in a bikini. I want to go out on my birthday with my fiance to an expensive restaurant in a hot dress and turn heads.

The diet plan I am following is, "Weight Loss 4 Idiots", I signed up for the program back when I 1st went down to 135lbs 4 years ago and I printed off 12 weeks of eating plans and typed out all the instructions. It worked great back then, so I'll be using it again. I find it easy to follow, I'm never hungry and it has alot of protien and that's what I need for the weight lifting I'll be doing.

I'll also be following the book, " 28 Day Body Shapeover - by Brad Schoenfeld", I used it 3 years ago when i went up to 150lbs and toned up alot and lost some weight (I think 5 or 6 lbs) in 28 days. I liked how fast time went following this program and how you don't need to be at the gym for HOURS it gives you the option of 3/wk longer gym sessions or 6/wk shorter sessions, plus it's intense resistance workout pretty much gaurentees toned muscle. ( I won't be following the meal plan in this book - I will be eating the recommended amount of protein/calories it recommends though).

While I follow this program I'll also have a couple personal training sessions. I started seeing a personal trainer March 2009 (I bought 12 sessions and I have a few left), but the workout program (from the trainer) involves 6 days a week and it's ends up being 1-2hours at the gym. I feel after having followed my trainers program and the books program that I prefer the book.

So far this is day 2. I haven't been to the gym yet (not good since time is ticking :svengo: ), but I HAVE stuck to the diet with no problems or major cravings.

Tomorrow I will be going to the gym before I go to work. I don't work till 2pm so I have lots of time and no exuse.

I know this is going to require a lot of dedication and willower. I think posting here will help with motivation and I have my fiances support so that will help too.

I think one of the harder things at 1st will be not drinking beer/wine and eating chocolate - I really liked beer, wine and chocolate...pretty much ANY sugar or unhealthy carb. I'm telling myself that liking the junk food is an addiction. I successfully quit smoking 4 years ago, so I can quit junk food too.

Well today is day 4 and everything is still good. I haven't had any craving and I haven't slipped up. I did a full upper body workout yesterday and today I'll be doing probably 45min cardio.

I MUST reach my goal

Sounds like you're really motivated and have your exercise sorted out :) keep it up x

Yesterday was a success. No slip ups agian - I did have a monot craving though - I packed a healty lunch from my diet plan but all my coworkers decided to get subs for lunch and I think 4 different people asked if I wanted something (they were paying!) and the order sheet was even handed to me. I declined the offer - but in the back of my mind - I was thinking, "oh, I wish I could have one -I don't want my lunch now". But come lunch time - I didn't care anymore - i ate my lunch and was happy that I past that temptation.

After work I went to the gym and did a full legg workout - it was good. Today will be a cardio day, I don't really feel like going to the gym though. I think I might pop my turbo jam dvd in - it's a good hardcore cardio workout when you don't feel like going to the gym.

I'm concerned about my diet today - Today is the fruit veg day, meaning you only gt to eat 3 meals (not 4) and they are: 1x mixed fruit, and 2x veggie. I'm worried I'm going to be starving! Good thing this only happens 1 time at some point durning every 11 days. I don't get it though...oh well I'll do it anyway.

Tomorrow will be 1 week closer to my goal. I've been working out HARD. I'm eating alot of protein to ensure that my body doesn't burn up my muscle - plus with the intense resistance training I need the protein to build more muscle. I've been using Fit Day to log all my food intake and activities. According to what I've been logging into FIt Day - over the past 6 days my average calorie intake was 950 calories and my average protein intake was 94 grams. I know that seems low - BUT on the eating plan I'm following (weightloss4idiots) there is always 1 day out of 11 that you only eat 3 meals - 2 X veggie meal, and 1X Fruit meal. That day was yesterday, and I ended up consuming only 616 calories. All other days range between 1000 calories - 1500 calories.

It's amazing that I'm not hungry or craving anything - I eat alot of food too - just the food I'm eating is heathly - LOTS of veggies and lean meat. NO SUGAR or JUNK FOOD (with the weightloss4idiots you follow very heathly higher protien eating for 11 days and then you get 3 days off where you eat whatever you want then you repeat the 11 days etc..).

ANYWAY - they whole reason I was making this post in the 1st place was because I weighed myself today (tomorrow was my weigh in day - but I couldn't resist) and the scale said 158lbs!!!!

I LOST 6LBS!!!! I'm sure maybe some was water - but some of it HAD to have been fat too!

Well done with the loss, What does your workout routine look like ?

I'm going to the gym 6 days a week - days 1, 3, 5 are intense weightlifting, days 2,4,6 are cardio. I'm following the book '28 Day Body Shapeover' by Brad Schoenfeld.

I'm looking forward to seeing my results by Valentines Day - I'm sure there will be something very noticeable by then if I keep this up --- which I WILL!

Right now I'm on day 7 - DAY OFF! :hurray: I really needed it too - my body is SORE - but i'm ready for tomorrow.

I'm finding it hard to make time to cook to eat so much during a day so I've been substituting protein shakes for meals. Easy way to gets lots of protein. I'm not hungry at all, which I'm surprised because the low amount of calories I'm consuming. I hope it STAYS this easy!!!

My finacee is being VERY supportive, I found this website, and I have fitday - so this is really becoming alot easier than I thought it would be.

Well I'm still on track - - - more or less.

With Weightloss4Idiots you get 3 days where you don't follow a strick plan - well I took those 3 says a little bit farther - Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat and Today.....but I didn't fall right off the deep end - I didn't go crazy on junk food or anything - I just ad a couple drinks and didnt really monitor my calories.

I still cooked my own meals etc... But I was probably consuming 2000-2500 calories oer day instead of the 800-1500 per day I was consuming.

I was still sticking to my exercise program so I don't think I really didn't any harm. Tomorrow as new week starts will my strick eating plan.

I'm thinking of cranking up my exercise routine too. I'll do intense cardio 5-6 times a week with 3 weight lifting sessions a week.

I gotta get it done. I saw this AWESOME dress that I REALLY want to wear for my birthday.

Plus I went through all my clothes and threw away old stuff and found a bunch of things that don't fit but are practically brand new. I can't wait to wear them again - I already have a skinny wardrobe - I just need to fit into it!

ARG - I'm feeling the ULTIMATE frustration. I weighed myself today and I'm UP not DOWN. WTF!!! Over 15 days of exercise and diet - how is NOTHING possible??? I think my clothing is fitting better....well it's not fitting worse anyway - I'm just so mad! Oh well - I'm not going to quit - I"m sure if I keep doing what I'm doing till my birthday SOMTHING will change in my body - it'd be IMPOSSIBLE not too!

My finace says I just started and not to worry about it because it hasn't been very long - and I know I shouldn't expect results overnight - but I expect SOMETHING after 15 days.

I guess I'm being a bit dramatic - I'm stronger - I can tell. So I do have more muscle...maybe the muscle is building up -then the fat will fall off - or I'm gaining muscle equally to losing fat and thats why the scales not changing.

In approx 15 days I'll be taking my body measurements - THEN I'll know if there was a change. INCHES are more important to me than weight anyway.

Hey, I just happened to see your diary and wanted to pop in.

Try not to get discouraged. Weird things like this happen sometimes. Maybe that diet thing your on doesn't have you eating enough calories for the workouts you're doing. Or maybe you've gained some muscle since you've been weight liften. Also, make sure you're drinking enough water, if you don't you'll just retain it.

The one thing that I can say is to not give up! If you give up then you won't lose the weight guaranteed. So just keep on going, the scale will go down, it may take more time, but it will go down.

By the way good job on all the workouts!

Hey great job so far! It's a accomplishment by itself that you have found a routine and eating plan and stuck with it. Although I'm not a big fan of those only veggie and fruit days, but just keep tracking. Try not to weight yourself often. I do it once a month, and if I'm really trying to zero down on something I may be doing wrong I'll go every 2 weeks. Remember, your body has to adjust itself to all the new eating habits you've introduced to it. 2 weeks is not a large enough window. Keep up your intensity, and believe me, the weight will fall off!!

Well I'm still truckin along. lol.

I haven't missed a workout and my 'cheats' on my diets weren't all that bad.

At work yesterday a girl I work with said that my thighs are looking skinnier. That was nice - I was wearing pants that I never wore to work before so it could have been an illusion....haha oh well it was still nice to hear.

Yeah, I guess it has only been ALMOST 3 weeks, I'm just going to keep it up....I'm SURE something GREAT is going to occur with my body by my birthday.

Who knows - maybe all of a sudden my body will kick into action and I'll wake up 3 sizes smaller - - haha if ONLY it worked that way!

LOL, I wish it worked that way too! However, if you keep doing what you're doing you will be 3 sizes down in no time!

Today when I was done work I went to the gym and did 30 min on the elipticle. It was amazing - I was on resistance 7 on the interval workout (so it goes up to resistance 9 then back to 7 then back to 9 etc)!!! Before I'd be on level 1 or 2 and my heart rate would be at the high end of the scale - today at the HIGH resistance my heart rate was maintaining 120-145 beats per min - when I first had it on had it on resisitance 1 today (before I jacked it up)my heart rate wouldn't go higher than 110bpm !!! Turbo Jam is KICKING ASS!!! I think it has really helped me burn alot of calories and boost my cardio ability! I'd been doing it (turbo jam) on my cardio days instead of going to the gym - this was the first time doing cardio at the gym in over a week.

I weighed myself today.......the scale in my bathroom said....155.8 or something - then I did it again right after because I didn't belive it and it said 156.6 so then I did it one more time to get an average and it read 156lbs - so I'm going with that - 156 is todays weight - YIPPY! 8.3lbs down from when I weighed myself on Jan 10. That's an average of 2.91lbs per week - if I keep THAT up I'll be 128lbs by my goal...lol! I'm not realistically thinking I'll be 128 lbs by then - it'd be cool though!

1 more week to go then I'll have completed the 28 day body shapeover program! Then I take my measurements! I'm excited - I know there was SOME loss so far and I could potentially lose another 2-3 lbs by the end of next week and I'm sure there will be more positive improvements. I'm seeing results and it's really keeping me motivated! After next week I'm going to restart the 28 day shapeover program....

WTG!!! that is awesome keep up the good work! wish i could get that excited lol but I'm sure I will get to that point someday lol..

You are doing awesome! It's so great when you can see the fitness improvements like you did with going from level 1-2, to level 7-9! That's just about the best feeling in the world... that, and fitting into smaller clothes! I can't wait to fit into my old jeans personally!

Well it's been a while since I posted any updates - but everything is going well.

On Sunday I took my measurements (it was day 28 of the 28 day bodyshapeover program)- I lost 5.5 inches and gained .5 inches in each bicep! 1.5 inch loss from waist - 1 inch from hip, 1 inch per thigh, .5 per calf, and .5 from chest.

My clothes are all fitting better - I own 1 pair of pants that were a bit to tight when I started(I had just bought them and only wore them 1 time) - I didnt try them on until Sunday and now they are too big!

I've noticed a reduction in armpit fat too (you know, the stuff that is there when you wear a tank top where your arm connects to your body..)

My weight has been the same for a few days now. 154.6lbs - this morning I weighed myself naked 1st thing when I got up and i said 153.8lbs - but after I drank some water and put on some shorts I weighed myself again and it was 154.6lbs again. Everytime when I weigh myself at the gym it says 156-158lbs (but that is in the middle of the day with my gym clothes on including my shoes).

My weight has been the same since Feb 3...for 8 days now. I AM still noticing improvments in toning and such - so even though the scale seems to have stopped moving - the fat placement on my body hasn't :). I am alot stronger too! I lift alot more weight that I did a month ago!

I'm pretty sure soon it'll (the scale) will start moving again. It has to! I'm still working out 6 days a week and I'm still eating the same amount of calories (1200-1700 per day).

i'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing for now. (I'm on day 3 now of the 28 day body shapeover)

That's awesome! Congrats on the inches lost, I bet you feel great fitting into those pants nicely instead of them being too tight.

I like to weigh myself in the morning naked too. At least it's consistent in that way, same time, no clothing. But yeah, I notice a fluctuation throughout the day too. That's why I stick to just the morning weigh in.

Congrats on getting stronger too!

Good luck on the rest of your bodyshape program!
