21 yr old college student 275lb 6'4 advice plz

I am a college student attending the University of Texas at Dallas. I used to play football in highschool as a defensive end so I'm used to the weight training from then. However I'm considering revamping my workout and calorie intake. I want to keep my weight around 250-270, and I work out three to four days a week at 3 hour intervals. I have never really looked at my calorie intake mainly my protein intake. About 250-350 grams every few days. Especially after workouts. I also use N.O. Explode, Cellmass for creatine, and
Synthas 6 for my protein. I am debating on using hydroxycut as well. I suppose if anyone wants to take the time to diagnose what I am doing wrong or might know a better schedule and what to eat and when to eat. Plus what type of enhancers to use or not to use.

Thanks!

well i think u have a good start by watching your calorie intake. I see a problem right away though, if i got this right...ur in the gym for 3 hours at a time? thats too much. The key to losing weight and gaining or keeping muscle is workout intensity. since u were playing football as a def end...im guessing ur pretty strong and used to the explosive movements like powerlifters. take this advice into consideration...

inbetween sets, no more than 45 seconds of rest before your next set

increase your reps, but decrease your speed...focus on the muscles working and not the power you put into it. you can still dedicate one day a week to power if u want to keep your strength up...but u want to keep your heart rate up. heres a link to some intensity techniques on my site...gymmonsters.com/pages/intensitypg1.html

circuit training might also be a good way to burn more calories. your protein seems to be right on the money. so all in all, more intensity, fewer calories, and after a few weeks, if its still not working you can always give us what uve been doing and we can help u.

gymmonsters.com is always open with plenty of articles and exercises and its updated daily

hope this helps out man. good luck!
