20 pounds to go

At the end of my senior year of high school I was 5'4' and weighed 144 lbs. That may not sound like a lot, but I have a small frame and I was in horrible shape. I decided to change my life, and in a year lost 36 pounds. I began exercising daily, eating right and I developed a new passion for running. Since then I have run 2 half marathons as well as a full marathon. Unfortunately, after keeping the weight off for a year and a half, this past year I gained 19 of the pounds back. This was due to 1. me living on my own for the first time, so healthy choices became more difficult 2. stress, stress, stress. 3. emotional eating habits and 4. I developed Night Eating Syndrome and began eating hundreds and hundreds of calories in the middle of the night. A few days ago I looked at myself in the mirror and decided enough is enough, I'm losing those remaining 19 pounds. I'm never eating at night again, and I'm getting my positive healthy life back.
On 5/27 I weighed 127 pounds
and today on 5/29 I weighed 124.4 pounds. I know I was retaining a huge amount of water, and am proud to say those were the first 2 nights in a while where I slept through the night without getting up to eat. My body could finally digest food, and I woke up feeling healthy, happy and hungry...not sluggish and frustrated. I plan to keep this diary as I make my way back to my original 108.

On 5/31 I woke up and weighed 123...I can't believe it! I think I actually may have stumbled upon a diet and exercise routine that works! I haven't felt hungry or weak at all (I've been eating plenty of food) and have been able to sleep through the night. I'm so motivated and am going to lose those last 15 pounds!
