2 valid questions

I've never seen these questions posted. So I figured I'd ask.

1. I have a dominant side. How can I even up my pecs? One is bigger than the other right now, very annoying.

2. I've heard that it is ok to eat like a snickers bar after a workout cause your body needs the carbs badly. Also heard it's not good to eat carbs within 4 hours of bedtime. Are these statements true?

1. ive heard this question before, and ive heard that it may help to work out with dumbells with more weight/volume on one side. However, bear in mind that may really backfire if you overtrain one side. its a difficult problem to fix, especially since sometimes, its due to genetics.

2. after a workout, your body is craving all kinds of nutrients, particularly protein and carbs. the absolute WORST thing you can eat following a workout is nothing. a snickers, which is high in carbs, will refill your glycogen reserves, which prevents catabolism. however, eating a snickers right after a workout presents the same problem that eating a snickers almost any other time does: its a heck of a lot of mostly empty calories. also, it doesnt contain much protein.

as far as carbs 4 hours before bed...i wouldnt worry about it that far in advance. sure, you dont want to down a bowl of ice cream 15 minutes before falling asleep...but you should eat something before bed, preferably something high in slow acting protein.

i've read somewhere that the "avoid carbs at night" deal came about because of the ppl who hit the drive thru on the way home from work then park themselves in front of the tv with that junk followed by more junk like cake, cookies, etc
