I'd like to join; week by week will help me with the 6 week challenge!

I'm starting at 195 as of this morning. But I have a cheap analog scale. Can anyone recommend a good digital one? My only place to shop is Wal-Mart or online.

Mind if I join in here? I'm trying for 1kg (2.2lb) per week, so this would be perfect.

My current wt is 181.8 lb and I'm aiming for 143.3.
I'm trying to loose wt as part of my effort to get pregnant, but also to feel good about my body.

new member, a little nervous

hey everyone, just joined this thing. i know i might get a lot of hate from some people when they look at me because they think "oh she doesnt need to lose weight" but before i get around to that, let me introduce myself first and ask some questions...

im a recent ucla graduate and i stand at 5'8 and im around 130lbs. sounds completely normal, even skinny to some. and i agree to an extent, but i still have weight issues of my own. while my arms and legs are pretty skinny, i have this huge unrelenting gut that just wont seem to go away. its embarassing to admit, but none of my friends would believe me until one day we went to the beach and they were just all completely shocked and stunned. :eek: one jerk even commented that he thought 50% of my weight came from my stomach. i guess i can truthfully admit that my stomach sticks out a good 4 to 5 inches from where my hips are. i always wear baggy shirts and its hard to find jeans that fit well because my waist is a completely different size than what fits my legs.

i dont know what the problem is. i've tried to cut back on food, to eat healthier, even exercising for 30 minutes a day but with no avail. i try to drink 2 liters of water a day. i've googled every "abdominal" exercise to recipes and im just tired of it. i really dont understand it so i joined this to just see if there was anyone else out there who understood and could try to help me out.

is it bloating? or am i just doomed to have this plumber-esque gut for the rest of my life?
 
I have lost 2 lb this week, it’s just that I had a binge and put on 1 lb before I lost it. No binging this week and I should be back on track.

clee920, Have you seen a docter about it? Perhaps its not just fat but something else that needs to be treated. unless you were short i would guess that at 130lb you cant be that over weight. Some people do however tend to put weight on at particular places (hence why we have liposuction) first before all others.
