Here to learn.

The last year or so, I've lost control of my weight. I was around 215 lbs when this year started, and now I've gained all the way up to 245 lbs. :puke: A huge contributing factor has been the fact that I stay in the house, and don't go anywhere, maybe once a week or twice a week at most do I leave. I already have plans in the works to bring that to an end.

I came here to get ideas and learn about healthy foods and live a healthier lifestyle. I'm not interested in a 'diet' that will change after I lost the weight. I find that shallow. I'm here to learn how to live healthier for life.

Peace.

You could join a gym and just watch what you eat and use portion control. It depends on where you live, but here it is a good time to go swimming! I know a girl who works out at the gym and just cuts out the junk food and use portion control. She lost a lot of weight since last year. She went from being fat, to thin!! But she works out at the gym "hard" for about an hour, and she jogs on the treadmill, for a long period at a time.

Welcome and good luck to you!!:seeya:

Work slowly up to a fitness goal, so you won't get discouraged if you don't reach it the first time. I'm 23 and have had issues with my weight too, but for the past year I've been able to keep it off through diet and exercise.

Diet is so important. I do not eat junk food or fast food. Cooking your own meals is best because you know what you are putting into it. I'm not sure what your diet is like, but if you have any questions feel free to ask :).

Thank you. The gym idea is something I have thought about. I don't currently have a job so I don't want to just blow the money that I do have though. Definitely a future idea though.

I've been working with the slim in 6 tape(3 days so far without missing a beat...I'm proud.), and I'm working my way up to the p90x. Watching what I eat. I notice I eat wayyy wayyyy wayyyy too much fast food (Once a week, sometimes twice).

Anyway, thanks for the responses.
