did anyone else read or hear about the 18 yr old edmonton girl shot and killed saturday morning. they charged a 20 yr man for it on the 24th. he did not know this girl and apparently it was just random. what the heck is wrong with people. this is happening far too often. 18 yrs old. unbelievable. this is so sad.

Somehow it doesn't effect me at all.
There are about 8 billion people out there. And there is always some situation that arises every single day that is completely superior to this one on seriousness, and sadness scale.
Anyway's, it is quite unfortunate, really it is.
Somehow however I doubt that it was random. There are very few stupid people willing to do hard time and waste their lives rotting in a cell block for killing someone they don't even know, for no apparent reason.
However, I really find it lovely that this seem's to have such an impact on you. It is really nice to know that there are good people like you left in the world.

I agree with Nobody in that the event didn't a.) reach me here in California, and b.) have any effect.
There is a lot of strife and tradgedy in the world but we shouldn't let that blindside us to the people who strive to make the world a better place.

Which brings me to my point, it is RARELY random. Somtimes done for the stupidest reasons, but nontheless not random.

Thousands of women, men, and children dyig everyday in Africa for not reason at all because they dont have good water, and they kinda live in a crappy climate.
