16 year old Training program

Hey,

I just registered on this forum it looks very good.

I've just turned 16 and really want to get into weight training, but I don't know where to start, I have a set of weights just no idea of a training program. Could anyone make me a training program?

I'm 6"2 and 189 pounds and Im kind of athletic I play basketball occasionally.

generally i just do whatever i can... or whatever i think of. i normally do twenty situps with 30lbs, then 20 more with 15lbs. then, do 20 situps on each side with 15lbs. bench with whatever you can, drop twenty lbs and do as many reps as you can.... drop 20 more lbs and do as many reps as you can. you should see guys at the gym do this. you're almost guaranteed to be tired the next day. make sure you excercise your back too if you do those situps, makes for a good muscle balance and prevents back problems in the future. then i do curls the same way i do my benching. make sure you have a spotter for any weight lifting, one time i got caught in a bad position and had to flip the bar sideways. could've killed myself.
