I started my diet and exercise program 7-8 months ago. I have not had surgery or have taken any pills (I get these questions a lot). Currently, I have lost 120 pounds and I am looking to lose 50-70 more. I started off very slowly...eating less and exercising 30 min. a day (2-15 min. work outs). Currently I do about 2.25 hours of cardio (power walking 4 mi/hour) and 15 min. of strength training M-F. Saturdays I do about an hour of cardio and Sundays I do nothing! My diet is just about anything except for white carbs and sugar! I maintain about 1200-1400 calories a day. Some say this is not enough calories but it is working...I try different things and tweak my diet/workout every few weeks. I am new to this site...just today... so I look forward to meeting new people and gaining new knowledge. I am 28 (will be 29 in July and I am 5'9. I am a little too embarrased to put my starting weight and current weight but I am assuming by how much I lost and still need to lose you will get the idea!

Do you split your workout? I want to increase my cardio amount, and I was thinking about working out a little in the morning and at night.

Here is my work out routine
5AM 3.8 mile power walk, 4- 15 second wind sprints, 45 second slow walk, then I do Leslie Sansons Walk away the pounds 15 min. easy walk DVD (I like the kicks, knee lifts, and upper body on the DVD...I use 3 pound hand weights), and then I do 80 ab twist with 3 pound weights, then on a stability ball I do ab crunches, glut lifts, push-ups, and I don't know what they are called but they work your back muscles....3 sets of 12 reps.

10 AM 15 min. power walk..this is my break

12:30 PM 30 min. power walk...this is my lunch

3 PM 15 min. power walk...this is my afternoon break

If I work out past 5 PM my adrenaline keeps me up all night!

I know that this seems like a lot but i worked up to it gradually. I only do the sprints 3-4 times a week.

well done, and yeah i used to be that way, now i can exercise and then go straight to bed lol :D

Good on you for that loss - good to meet you also :)

Wow fantastic progress :) that;s really good in 7-8 months too! Weight is only a number, and you look even hotter now - it's all that matters!
