10 Pound Club

I would like to give it a shot too. I can use all the motivation I can get! I would be thrilled out of my mind to lose ten pounds my March 1st. I am at 181 right now...so, I need to get to 171. That would be an awesome number for me to see.
 
Ok ROSERED I'm here how does it work, and when does it start. If you have no clue what I,m talking about , You asked me to join the 10 lb club:D

It starts now mate, its all about losing 10 pounds before March. We are doing it together for a little friendly competition and a lot of support.

I went bushwalking yesterday. It was a 6 km walk or 3.7 miles down then up a mountain … I thought I was going to die lol. Today im off fishing and then I have the personal trainer tonight; I hope she is kind to me; all my leg muscles are killing.

havin' a good day. enjoying watching football and eating veggies. veggies and lowfat dip - it helps not eat those potato chips! just got off the elliptical so didn't have to go to the gym. calories at about 900 so far but yesterday i was about 1400 so i'm thinking an average will work okay for the two days. weekly weigh in is tuesday so hoping for a budge!!

This sounds great! That will be 2 days before my birthday, so I'm ready for that challenge. I weighed myself this morning but I'm going to wait until tomorrow to post my weight since that's the weigh in for the 2 week challenge. Since my daughter and I will be working together I'll be posting her progress along with mine. Her name is Demitresse, she is 15 yrs old. She's 5'8" and weighed in yesterday at 221.
 
oh wow, it is great to see so many people join. i'd say we can post our losses so that we can celebrate them given that it is 6 weeks and people may need support and congratulations here and there...thoughts? hope i can do this. i hope my body will start shedding those pounds. what are people's plans? i am going to stick with my 1200 calorie diet/cardio on elliptical and weight training 3 times per week...hope that plateau that KEEPS coming back (it seems) take a run for the hills!! have a good day..s
 
Two weeks into the year, and already 30% of the way to my goal! 3 down, 7 to go :D

Edit: I didn't see Skyler's post until after I made this one, didn't notice there was a third page already ;)

My method is a 1300 calorie diet, and biking 5 days a week with a goal of 45 mins a day (though I think I'm going to change it up a bit, and do two sets of 20 minute biking each of the 5 days)

I'm doing the 1200 calorie thing, and will be uping my cardio, I've been lingering in the same area for a bit and would like to shove that plateau out of here!

BTW Beagle great job on the 3lb loss!

I am going with my 1200 cal and my work outs on the gazzelle and weights and A DVD work out at home , So I hope I can do myself proud and get these 10 lbs off

I'm doing 1200 calorie diet. As for working out, I'm riding bike 5 days/wk slowly increasing duration from 15 minutes to 30 and intensity. I am also doing strength workout 10 min/day, would like to increase it to 20. Once a week I ride a horse for about an hour. Hopefully will go downhill skiing 2-3 times in February, although I cannot really count it as a regular exercise, those skiing days are really tiring!
 
oh guys, i'm so down, for real! I weighed in today at 188!!! I havn't been there since long before christmas. I gained 3 pds w/ this past challenge!! UGH! I want to drown myself!

I have to start all over on this challenge...so I"m at 188, my goal is 178.

Ugh, so sad..I just want to hang

Take it easy. I suspect its all water weight anyway. I blame all the platos on this one. :)

I do understand your frustration with scale going the wrong way. I get that all the time, even when I'm good. All you can do now is to keep going. (you told me that before, remember? ;) ) Make you plan, and stick to it! Look to what you can do in the future (and you CAN do it), don't worry about the past. Its a new day and a new challenge, and you can strart from clean plate.

I know things can get out of hand very quickly with weight loss, and you have to watch yourself all the time. But don't despair, you can do it and we can help!
 
I agree with NTL, don't drown or hang yourself, we would miss you too much ;)

Just get back on the weightloss pony, and keep going :)
