It will work. Give it time. The only thing that may slow it down is the weight training but think of how tight you will be looking with all those toned muscles and, you can lose inches. That is a bonus in itself.

hi everyone. I bought a new scale this week to replace my ancient one. I love my new scale, but it weighed everyone in the house three pounds higher than the old scale did! Grrrr. I know its just a number, and its all relative, but somehow it stinks to look like you gained three pounds back when you didnt. Oh well, Im still keeping it. I just adjusted everything on my ticker three pounds over (except my goal weight). So that means for the ten pound challenge I have to change my start weight to 184 and last week I weighed in at 182 -- so a loss of two pounds. Hopefully I will reach my goal of 174 by March 1 st. Thanks to everyone on this site for being so motivational. I dont think I would even have a chance of doing it without a place like this to come to. :)

HELP!!! The weight is piling on! 149 this morning. I know it's impossible to gain 3.6lbs in 2 days. I am officially at my highest non pregnant weight...and only 4 under what I delivered my first at.

I haven't been keeping up on your journal, but I think a good first step is to drop at least an extra 200 calories from your daily intake. How much are you exercising? You may want to step it up a bit, either by working out more frequently, or longer/harder sessions when you do.

I agree that nearly 4lbs in 2 days is very unlikely, it could just be water weight, but I think better safe than sorry. Speaking of which, are you getting enough water?

I did tae-bo on Tues. and Thurs., I had just under 1100 cals on Thurs. and probably 2200 yesterday. I drank probably about 12 cups Thurs. and 9 Fri.

I've been suspecting it, but now I'm certain. I'm loosing my milk supply! I feel like I'm eating so much, I'm gaining weight too. How can I eat more? I wonder if I'm gording water weight as my body fights to keep supllies up. What should I do? Nursing is defiantly more important than loosing weight. How do I get my supply up? Should I completly stop trying to lose weight? Should I actually up my calories? My baby was crying at the breast and I thought she was just fussy, butI can barely squeeze any out. I u se to have so much I was choking her when it let down. I posted about colic in another thread, maybe she's just hungry??? I feel like a horrible mom. what should I do?

This may be far fetched and out of line, but it may be that your hubby was comfortable with you the way you were and now that your are dropping weight and looking good he knows you are looking good to other men too and may feel a little... insecure(?), worried about how you may change (?)

I've thought about that too Bailey. It very well could be, hubby doens't have great self esteem. Either way, he loved me when I was big, I'm certainly not going to leave just b/c I loose a couple of pounds! I'm sure he knows that :)

I don't have one. I have a MW, but she's back in ON and I'm in NY. I think I need to see a dietician. Free back in ON, out of pocket here I'm sure.

Check with your local WIC(women infants and children) office. It's a federal government program so there has to be one near you. They have nutritionists and dieticians there for anyone to see and talk to you. They will definitely have answers for you. If you can't find them under WIC check with your local human services or health department. They will have contact info.

You should be able to. IF nothing else you can at least get some advice! I think with a student visa you are eligible for federally funded programs. Call them and find out. You may even be eligible for some help with other stuff too!

Least you can do is ask, and the worst they can say is no, and then you're back where you started. So you've got nothing to lose but a little bit of time :)

Not so good. As of today I'm only 1lb down, but I was lower before, so I am hoping that I'm just carrying some extra water.

Look at you, you're already 5 lbs down! You'll beat us all getting there! :)

i havent lost a bit but i think yall have heard plenty of my complaints and frustrations this week...
keepin on trying!!!

I think I am coming to a stand still I weighed this morning at 161 At least I havent gone up any . But I have been busy tending to a sick little big one and a little one and now they have went and gave it to me so I dont know when I will get back into the groove hope I get over this real soon
