Shoulder pain :(

At my work, my chair and desk height was ergonomically poor. Due to this i had to raise my shoulder to use mouse and resulted in my right shoulder muscle pain, deltoid pain and also wrist pain sometimes. I thought the wrist pain was carpal tunnel syndrome, but when I visited doctor he said no carpal tunnel syndrome. He recommended some massages etc, but nothing helped. Visited physio few times, just felt better for sometime and pain comes back again. I stopped working last year and spent time traveling, but the pain still there even after one year.

Does anybody know what this might be? It doesnt bother me doing exercises though.

Thanks for the help,

Have you read at all about myofascial trigger points? You should.

Re

Shoulder pain is an extremely common complaint, and there are many common causes of this problem. It is important to make an accurate diagnosis of the cause of your symptoms so that appropriate treatment can be directed at the cause. The treatment of shoulder pain depends entirely on the cause of the problem. The first treatment for many common conditions that cause shoulder pain is to rest the joint, and allow the acute inflammation to subside.

I would check into a rolfer, someone that does structural integration. What they do is get into the myofascial tissue and loosen it up, allowing it to move freely as it is meant to. When we sit in front of a desk on a regular basis with our shoulders rounded forward and our legs bent the fascial tissue starts to shorten and can actually get pinned down in certain areas which restricts movement and as a result causes pain. A rolfer can loosen all that up which will take away that pain.
