feeling abs when deadlifting?

i felt my abs at the top half of the deadlift for the first time today. Im guessing maybe it was poor form but i didnt do anything different. Should i be feeling abs at that point?
 
first,, you are probaly starting to get it to high, so your weight is a bit light.

Second, good work! and keep going. incorporate powercleans

Deadlifts are one of the best exercises for your abs! If your abs are weak they will limit your deadlift and may leave you prone to injury. I always follow deadlifts with a set or 2 of situps or hanging leg raises. Hanging leg raises also have the added benefit of working the grip which can also improve your deadlift!
