Expert Requested

Need help, and maybe there will be somebody with some experience to figure it out for me.

I'm 20 years old, gained about 30 pounds recently from being confined to my home, literally stuck inside due to house arrest sentencing.. nothing major DUI jam.. learned my lesson quit drinking etc.

anyway, I need to find guidance as to what the best way to lose this weight fast would be.

5'11" 240 lbs

available equipment - stair master (average program I'm using on it burns 240 calories) very basic crunch thing, curl bar, dumbells, stair , lat machine includes pulley on top for pull down excersize, and one based at the bottom for rows/curles.. I have appropriate weights and a tricep rope

Obviously I need to be drinking JUST water, I'm thinking for a gameplan.. Wake up 20 min cardio, high fiber cereal (go lean crunch etc) shower whatever go to work, 3 hours pass eat a cliff bar or something, lunch including of salad low cal dressing chicken or tuna on it, 3 hours pass cliff bar, get home 20 min stair master cardio then weight training followed by dinner which would be again something very lean, high fiber high protein, yogurt or something else that digests slow before bed then keep it going.. does this plan sound effective? what details might I be forgetting? What over the counter supliments would help in an effective total body transformation in a short amount of time without making me Tweak out. What excersises and scheduling should I be doing for the week... unless I write it down and stick to an actual game plan I'm ****ed. I want to lose this weight ASAP but healthy as well. Problem area is the gut, like most folks.

Thanks for the help.

LOL im sure that no one replying it isnt anything personal. When you say expert required its a bit intimidating to most people.

Start by reading the stickies at the top of the weight loss, weight training and nutrition sections. They should help you choose a routine and make a meal plan.

First off, Congradulation on quitting drinking alcohol bud. Stopping that bad habbit alone will probably cut out like 1,000-3,000 calories a week depending on how bad your habbit was. Secondly, weight lost should not be a quick ONE shot deal. Weight loss is a lifestyle change man. If your approach / attitude is to get this done ASAP and return back to where you were before, I will tell you this you are on a Yo-Yo diet. If you adjust your diet + lifestyle that fit into your scheme of things that you enjoy doing and get you motivated to do it everyday / week, then time is on your time.

For starter, try eating for someone who is 200 lbs and use excercise as an aid. If you eat like someone who is 200 lbs, eventually your body will adjust and with time you will be 200 lbs. Excercise should an assest to speed that process. I do like your determination but I fear that you may go in extremes and get frustrated and then give up.

As for specifics, try to read the stickies and calculate your BMR. Then, what kind of calorie deficits do you want to go into, try doing some situp, pushups, squats (no weights) and burpee (if you can do those). Remember to try to keep yourself really hydrated some drink like 1 gallon of water a day at least. Some recommend 1 fuild oz per lb of body weight even.
