Phate: The Right leg pic

You did it!! Well done

It may look a bit like an ad for a call girl :) but there looks like good development there, any chance of a ‘front-on’ shot of your quads?

Yes, I plan to post them. I also posted some upper back pics in another thread, in case you didn't see them. Actually the leg pic sucks. It really doesn't do my legs justice.

I will post them here, when I get them up.

Best wishes

I am going to leave it as a personal decision between my wife and I for now, and I respect her choice. Its not a big deal.

Yep! 47 years old.

Diet and fitness has changed my life.

I wish you much success in all of your personal goals.

By the way, what are your personal goals? Did I miss where you posted this already? Can I help you with something?

Best wishes

My goal is just to be consistent like i was a few years ago. Thats why i joined here. To meet some people that have the same intersts as me, and maybe make some friends.

I was going strong for 4 or 5 years, then for some reason i lost all motivation (maybe i was slightly depressed or something) im not real sure why. I basically did nothing for about 2 years and let all my hard work go to waste. :(

Im naturally skinny and lose muscle mass fast if i dont eat like crazy and work out hard. When i started i was 130 lbs. I got to 170 (with high body fat) in less than a year, then settled around 170 or so for the next few years.

After my 2 year lay off i was around 160-165 but with a lot less muscle and lots of fat. :bncry:

Ive been back at it hard since the end of May and i feel so much better. Ive also started working about 5 hours a night at UPS, where i lift boxes all night. That along with some landscaping, regular weight workouts/cycling/running are getting me back in shape fast.

Sorry if that was more than u wanted to hear..lol.

You have come to the right forum for this!

Yep.....we rock around the clock, and thunder the Internet ground!

(Geesh...there isn't any, Don, wake the heck up).....alrighty.........then.....

We are so bad we crack bolts of lightening, and the mere brightness from the light........make all other fitness sites fear our greatness! We are bad ass!

Put this behind you. Learn from it and move on.

Actually not enough information.....;)

How have you formed the foundation of your diet?

What does your workout routine consist of? How often do you do it?

You may want to consider creating a journal in the journal section of the forum. You could post your answers there, and could help you stay motivated. This way you can ask additional questions, post your diet and training, keep a log of thoughts, etc.

A lot of persons view these logs, and it could assist you, possibly, in allot of ways!

ROCK ON! :)

PEACE AND HAPPINESS TO YOU!

Here is a more frontal view: (next are the little baddy calves :))

This one is far better than the original one I posted, lol. Pardon the quality it still sucks.

I tried to make it as less offensive as I could. If need be I can crop it or something, if it offends someone.

Honestly, Chillen ... Is there no end to your muscularity?

Your body is perfectly developed. It's criminal :D There oughta be a law against looking that good ;)

Thanks, again, for your comments, ILM. :)

I plan to address some weaknesses this year, and one of them is the "width" of the back. I purchased some equipment and changed my routine just recently to address this and some other minor issues.

My wife is off today, so I am off to help my oldest son move from his apartment.

Grandma is doing better, she is just having a hard time coping with her surgery area cuts (both legs, and sternum), and getting motivated enough to perform the exercises her doctor recommended; but she has me to deal with. I have been doing the exercises with her, being comical and playful, and it seems to be working; though she moans and groans. LOL.....:)

Being 75 years old, just having recent quadruple heart surgery, and being 5' 3" and 200 lbs, she isn't exactly in the best physical condition.

Best wishes

I didn't have bypass surgery (I had surgery to replace my aorta), but I am told the "harvesting" of the veins in the legs to be used in the heart is more painful than the chest.

I wish her well. She can certainly use your help.

Chillen, I'm beginning to think you're an angel in disguise. I can't believe how pure your intentions are and how pure your heart is ... you're certainly a person that more people should aspire to become.

I suppose most people do these things because they have to. But with you, it's so different ...

You're one in a million.

She is having a major problem with eating; the anesthesia has severely hampered her appetite, the texture and taste of food. The nurse and doctors say this normal, and said it could last up to 5 weeks after this sort of surgery.

The major problem is getting her to eat (or feeling like eating), and eating what I prepare for her. She has been only consuming about 600c per day, and this is a major problem at the moment. Between the doctors and nurses, we are at present, unable to come with an answer to get her to eat more. Her taste for foods, meaning what she liked and disliked before the surgery has completely changed after surgery. What she likes one day, she dislikes the next day. If we settle on a healthy item to eat, she takes a few bites, and says she is full, and flat refuses to eat any more.

Any suggestions here I would thoroughly appreciate, Richard.

I have her figured out on the exercise side of the equation. Just doing it with her and making it fun and comical seems to make her want to do it. So we are rocken' this out together. :)

Best wishes

Have you thought about protein shakes mixed with milk, fruit, yogurt (or even ice cream in this case) good fats and a fiber supplement (psylium fiber husks)???

They are a quick and easy way to add some calories/protein/carbs/fats/fiber, and they taste good too.

My nan is close to 90 now and only eats one tiny meal a day, the doctors have given her these small drinks that are like meal replacement drinks but seem to have a far higher concentration of calories. I don't know if your nan is at the point where that's needed just yet as I don't think they're the healthiest of diet options but it's worth knowing they're out there.

Thank you for your reply, Typhon.

I like the drink idea, because its small, carries a nutritional punch, and can be consumed quick.

Before the surgery she wasn't a diabetic, after the surgery the pancreas didn't come back fully functional, and is a diabetic, and is taking some meds for this. So it has to be something completely sugar free.

They have a drink called Glucerna (sp?) that is made for diabetics that packs a calorie and nutritional punch (and is small) that I am going to buy before she wakes up this morning, and see if she will drink this. She likes Strawberry and Vanilla, so I will see if I can get these two flavors for her.

She pushed her walker into my leg yesterday, when she got mad at me for trying to encourage her to eat, so this is a dangerous mission, LOL. But, I will not let herself give on herself, dang it! No matter how many bruises I get.

Again, thanks for the advice. I am off to the store before she gets up this morning.

Best regards,

Chillen
