Sport Food Intake 2 Much

Hey everyone..

lately ive started using fitday.com, a very cool website that tracks wat you eat. Ive edited my profile on their 2 my measurements and weight and it calculates how much calories i should eat a day.

Calories i burn = 3,770 - 891 (calorie restriction.. amount i need 2 reduce my intake 2 lose my goal weight) and it equals to 2,879 calories.

so should i eat 2,800 calories aday or is that to much??

My normal day is this

8am = 1 whole boiled egg and 1 boiled egg white only

10am = 1 small sized apple

12pm = Lunch normally either chicken/steak/tuna with veges

2pm = 1xfruit

5pm = Dinner normally lite like a salad with abit of chicken shredded

7pm = 1xfruit

you need to eat a hell of a lot more food. sounds like you are getting at the most 1200 calories a day. You should be eating at LEAST twice that much food.
You need to be eating a MUCH bigger breakfast featuring some carbs. Plus it looks like you are lacking in dietary fats which would help boost your caloric intake
 
btw im trying 2 lose weight not bulk up for now.. im 183cm like 6feet and my weight is like 270lbs or 123kgs so wat types of foods should i eat??
 
Eat more, make sure you have a good amount of protein with each meal, need more carbs for breakfast.
 
It doesn't matter that weight loss is your goal. If you eat 1200 calories, your body is going to go into starvation mode and you're going to lose muscle and hold onto fat.
Eating food is not the enemy; it is about eating the right food at the right times. Like I said before you need to eat at least twice what you posted if you want to maintain a fast metabolism optimized for burning fat.


To give you an idea of how badly you are under-eating:
My fitday says I need 3732 calories daily intake. I'm eating a deficit right now to lose a bit of fat. Here is my first 3 meals compared to yours:


Your first 4 meals combined:
2 eggs
2 serving fruit
1 serving protein
1 serving veggies


My first 4 meals combined:
1/2 cup oats
1 cup yogurt
3 servings veggies
3 servings fruit
4 serving protein
1 handful nuts


You aren't over eating; you are drastically under eating. In fact I'd be amazed to hear you aren't getting hunger pangs. =| So go get some food in ya'!!
BTW what is your workout plan like? How often are you exercising and what kinds of exercise?

hey everyone thanks for the replys, i had no idea ive been eating so little... ive been brought up my whole life like this thats why i dont feel hungery and im always curious why im overweight and eating so little calories...

ah limestix in regarding to your question... i go out with my mates and play soccer for a good hour or two now that summer is here(3 or 4 /week)... i have a bench press in my garage but im not sure of using it now.. Im thinking of loosing the weight first then toning up with the bench press
 
?!?!? not sure you understand the concept of this whole thing, DO your bench press's use the same bar and do Squats or powercleans, when people say tone up it just means loose weight so you are toning up now i guess you could say. just exersice 4 times a week if your not doing foos ball then go running. a muti-vitamin would help you out don't worry it's not voodoo magic pills
 
Ok wat if i do this

8:30Am (breakfast) = 2xToast (not white) With Egg And Ham Slice And Other Toast With 1 tsp Peanut Butter.

10:30Am = 1x Fruit

12Pm-1Pm (lunch) = Ham sandwitch with avacado and lettuce (out) or when at home Either chicken breast/fish/steak with veggies

3:00Pm = 1x Fruit or vege

4Pm-6Pm (dinner) = chicken breast/fish/steak with veggies

My work out plan will be ( a week )

3 or 4 x soccer --- 1 hour - 2 hours playing
3 x Weights Workout --- working chest, squats, bench press stuff

im 183Cm Height
weigh 120Kgs

i wana slim down to about 90kgs for now.. What do u guys reccomend
 
Your diet still sucks. Say it with me, EVERY MEAL NEEDS TO HAVE PROTEIN!

All your 'piece of fruit' snacks need protein added.

I'd ditch all the bread for breakfast. UP the protein, and have a bowl of oatmeal instead of 3 slices of toast.

you need to eat again after 6pm. its bad enough our bodies have to starve while we are asleep...don't make it go on even longer.
 
Ok LOL... just another question.. how much grams of fat should we intake aday ??? And if i replace my fruits with protien, ill still b eating in the 1500 calories a day how can i up my calories to my reccomended intake (2,800)
 
I did not say 'replace fruit with protein' I said you need to ADD protein.

I would keep fat no less than 25% of your daily calories. I like to go 30% fat calories, evenly split between saturated, poly unsaturated and monounsaturated fats, though I usually let my saturated go below 10% total calories and my mono and poly pickup the slack at 11% each.
