One month, ten pounds! Behold!

Nice work, keep it up or you will be removed from the forum

I hope you can keep up the progress while school is starting up. Remember, you are a student first and training the mind is #1 priority while you are working out the body. Sorry to play parent there, just my uncle mentality came out; along with yoga... Keep things balance is what I am trying to say without being too engulf and caught up in how well you are improving physically.

Actually I'm not enrolled in any courses this semester, taking time off for my health - I have some chronic health problems mentioned in my journal, one of them manifested some new symptoms back in late August that had me hospitalized briefly. So I'm resuming classes in the spring. Until then its all about keeping my stress low and keeping my health up. So exercise and eating my veggies fits right in to that ;)

In that case, may I suggest Yoga? It's a great compliment to working out and I find myself more refresh after yoga, mentally and physically. After practicing and following the yoga lifestyle and stretching technique, people around me notices how much calmer I've become. Its a nice stress reliever. Amazing effort and results.

I've been trying to take up yoga actually, and you'd be amazed how stressful it is trying to get a yoga class around here! lol. The first place I tried, it took two weeks just to get the classes sorted out, and they were classes I'd have to walk twenty minutes to at night (no parking for that far) and then someone got raped right outside the building last weekend. No thanks. The other studio I'm trying just switched management and I can never get them to return my calls. And the third studio I looked at is too far away. Its craaaazy. Haha.

Try this, take muay thai + cycling class. If someone tries to rape you, kick their ass with all the Muay Thai. That way, you can ride your bike to the Yoga class without fear of getting in trouble.

All kidding aside, Yoga may not be for everyone but try 2-3 classes. The first few classes are difficult to keep up with all the poses and transition. There is a lot going on in Yoga class: keeping the mind clear, breathing technique, movement, stretch, listening to instructor, and most importantly trying not to stick your behind in someone's face or vice versa.

I agree with tic. Yoga is pretty awesome. It has a way of re-energizing you, not just physically, but mentally and spiritually as well. The meditative aspects are really good, if you like that sort of thing.

I also like the meditative aspects of martial arts. Meditation has a way of stripping away the BS and revealing to you who you really are ;)

Check it out, after one month of working out religiously and eating nothing but wholesome foods like eggs, steamed veggies, chicken, tuna, and rice (and in moderation!), I have results! The wonder panda has dropped 10 whopping pounds! So here we are! Age 21, at a staggering 5'11", my comparison pictures of me at 168 pounds vs. me at 158 pounds! ENJOY! :D I know I am.

Still some work to be done tightening up a few things... but seriously.... this is a lot faster than I expected results to happen! I am so pleased with me :D

When you stand still, you reject the struggle, and you refuse to change and grow. Ultimately, you reject fulfillment, happiness, the dance for joy and everything else that is eternally (and internally) good.

(Unknown)

You are changing yourself and growing, Red_Panda. ROCK IT!

Perspiration.....spawns inspiration.

Ends frustration.

And, forms a new self-creation.

What is one way to interpret this quote?

Let's Chill-heck-out and find out:

Action is the only way anything ever gets done.

You got tha' action going on, girl! :)

Sitting around and waiting for life to happen to you will only guarantee one thing: that you’re not going to end up with body you desire. By waiting, you can react to what’s tossed your way and nothing more. It’s easy to take a passive approach to life without taking chances.

You are motivated in moven' it. Grooven' it........Leaving nothing to chance. You are getting it done.

You have your act together, girl! :)

It’s easy to fall into a rut and do the same things the same way all the time. Change is what’s hard, but it’s change that will reveal all the wonders that--your wonderful body has to offer. You can break out of your set ways by-------taking action.

Listen to what your body tells you. Adapt and overcome.

Be wise. Sanitize, but do not over-analyze.

Intelligence. Its in your genes.

And, in the picture progress.

Jump in with both feet and learn something new. Grow as a person and your world grows with you. You are evolving into a new person.

Look at what you have done.

Adversity bows to your passion.

Your passion cries.

Adversity dies.

Your heart is the right size.

Grab your prize: A NEW YOU!

Revitalized and NEW......

ROCK ON!........Blast the F@CK off!........don't look back, baby.

Let this progress "THUNDER" you to new personal dimensions!

Let it warm your face, and leave your old self without a trace.

You are most beautiful inside.......and rough and tough......OH!...........BUFF too! He, he.........;)

Keep worken' it girl!

Best regards,

Show someone you care today........Let them know. Spread it around.
Try to make our small space a better place.
