How long will it take?

I want to lose 6kgs (13 pounds) all up. I'm just wondering roughly how long it will take to lose each kg? (1kg = about 2 pounds)

I've just started a new fitness plan and have almost been doing it for almost two weeks. I'm not in the 'overweight' range but there's def. room for improvement. In the first week I lost 2kgs in only three days. However, this week progress has been very slow/non existent.

My exercise routine isn't hardout. I do at least an hour of exercise at least 4 times a day and I usually do something different each time. E.g. last week I did dancing one day, then pilates another day, swimming another day and a bike ride another. This way I won't get bored by doing the same thing over and over. I was doing basically NO exercise before I started this so it's gotta help, right?

My eating plan is based on portion control and making fruit and veggies the main part of meals. I also don't eat after 8pm.

How long can I expect to wait for progress (e.g 1 kg per two weeks? Or what?) I've been measuring myself and weighing myself everyday and it's frustrating to find no change but maybe I'm being too impatient and should only weight myself weekly?

Definitely don't weigh yourself daily. Hell even weekly is pushing it. You can't reliably lose more than 2lbs of bodyfat per week, and since you're only looking to drop 13 pounds, your weight loss will be slower because you're so close to what sounds like 'normal' weight for your height, age and body frame.

Don't be fooled by "The Biggest Loser"...those people are morbidly obese, have personal trainers, personal chefs, and are training 6-8 hours a day. They all start losing weight like mad (not all of that weight is fat either!), but by the end of the show they're lucky to drop 3lbs a week (again, not all of that is fat).

Honestly I'd look in the mirror, not the scale, to gauge your progress, and I'd expect to only drop 1lb per week and that's assuming you're eating right, not restricting calories too much, and are doing BOTH weight training and aerobic exercise.

not to mention getting enough recovery time in between workouts.

A good general guideline is that it'll take you twice as long to lose fat, as it took to gain it.
Over eat for a month and you might gain 5 lbs. It might take you 6-8 weeks to lose those 5lbs though. Just depends.

Don't obsess! Just stay the course, and if after a few weeks there's no change...yer doing something wrong (and believe it or not you might be eating TOO LITTLE!)
