Sex life and building a body

Hi,

I'm really confused! Ok, I've started working out two weeks ago, as in I'm in my third week. I'm 23, I have a fairly active sex life. I've heard from some people that when we (men) reach climax, we lost like a litre of blood or like 90 days worth proteins or something.

Now help me on this and clear it out as I can't go asking everyone about it here! Might be funny but bear with me people! I want to optimize muscle growth!

Enjoy your active sex life. You're not going to ruin muscle growth by having sex.

Where in the world did you hear this stuff?

Sometimes you have to think about what's being said. How would you lose a liter of blood when no blood is lost during orgasm? And how do you quantify 90 days worth of protein when everyone eats different amounts in grams of protein a day?

I guess that's why I couldn't believe it and asked the people who know better. Thanks evolution!

But one more question. Sex has no effect whatsoever on building and muscle increase right?

Where would the blood go. If there was suddenly a litre of blood I would be pretty worried. As evo said, having a normal sex life wont hinder your results.

Sex has no effect whatsoever on building and muscle increase right?

Nope. Completely independant.

But truth be told, if given the choice between having sex on a regular basis and losing a couple pounds of muscle, I'd choose sex and work a bit more on building muscle.

oh, so I can be happy again! I was feeling down for 2 weeks! Thanx ppl :D

Phate89, lol, I think I will just believe in myself now, lol.

I am in my mid-fourties, and definately use the CREW to SCREW!

I don't want to offend anyone, but I still wake up to morning "woods", and while this is friggen irritating at times, I also know this is a healthy and normal male function. And, if it ever stops, I just may have a problem. So, it's a welcome irritant. ;)

Developing the entire body has its benefits, outside the gym, and having sex utilizes some of the very muscles we focus on when we train, not to mention a heightened possibility of improving several biological functions.

Just think of it as "essential training", and you wll be fine.

Best wishes,

Chillen
