Hi Everyone,

I've been reading up on the introductions and I must say I'm impressed at the demographics in this forum. Wow! I'm usually used to forums closer to home, but lately I've found that the discussions aren't really helping me anymore. I feel like I'm reading up on the same old things. That's why I'm here, I'm hoping for a breath of fresh air, and get help for uhm, ehem..weight loss.

BTW, my name is Carinna, me and my boyfriend are aiming to be head turners when we visit the mall. Hahahaha! :D

Uh...btw, you do know that actual scietific/clinical trials & research have shown Hoodia has virtually little or no real effect at all?

They keep diggin' up some weird mushroom, fungus, mold or berry from some bizarre region of the world and then try to tell us it has miracle properties. They make a claim that can't be backed by the FDA or real clinical research studies, stick a label on it and "certain" people buy it. I've tried many of them, the only difference I found was in my wallet. Not that you're here to push the stuff.

I want to get down to maybe about 130-ish. My acid test is my fave pair or jeans a boyfriend gave me three years ago. if I can fit it them, wow. :p

No I don't sell it or anything. And yes I know the feeling of a lighter wallet. Hahahaha! But you know, I do have two intangible things gained that does not need scientific proof. 1. I feel better. 2. I'm closer to my boyfriend than ever. I can't put a price tag on that.

No....I didn't visit your blog, just noticed some reference to Hoodia in your sig-line.

Don't re-fill when the bottle goes empty. What I would recommend is to buy a good ice-tea maker. Take several bags of Green-Tea and whatever other flavor you like (raspberry, apple-spice,etc). The tea will give you enough stimulant to actually bump your metabolism a bit AND reduce hunger....plus you'll get some antioxidants, phyto-somethings and some other benefits. That and a good multi-vitamin, perhaps some flax & fish oil and you're there! :D

I'd also suggest keeping a food journal, the greatest effect being psychological: you'll have to reconsile, just before you eat something, that you'll have to enter it in your log. That alone can cut your intake quite a bit! In the end, it's a battle, so arm yourself well...with knowledge, a diet plan, an exercise plan and a link to this website! :D
 
Sounds like a great plan BSL. I take green tea already, but your idea with the ice tea and flavors? nice.

I will seriously consider all those. Thanks a bundle!
